John Burke gets a failing grade, he can't even keep the pond open and he spends money on useless things like fixing up the town hall instead of looking into a new one. He also should take a pay cut because the supervisor job is really part time now. And what is this that I hear that he is replacing full time employees with part timers so he doesn't have to pay out benefits?
Same crap- different day. Rumour has it that John, the Dems and Ralph are plotting to get rid of the Village come November. Guess they've decided to pick up their marbles as well as everyone else's and declare themselves the almighty rulers!!
That will be great. Than maybe we can talk the mayor into running for Town Supervisor. At least she treats people with respect and actually listens to our concerns.
The pond is never going to pass the County's testing. It is spring-fed, and the water, whether filtrated or not is never going to stay clear. It's throwing good money after bad to think that it can EVER be fixed!
Back to the other posts, the Village Board treats their respective audiences with much more respect than Burke ever has!

Why not hire part timers? Some of the employees in this town making a full time salary only work a few hours a day anyway. I saw in the paper a while ago, an ad for two part time Highway men. Good for you Big John.
Dear Ralphling, we all know that you hate the town employees because you were told to do so. If you were still working, would accept such conditions? I think not, especially since YOUR retirement money is funded by the taxpayers. That is what is so annoying about you ralphlings, you say that you don't want someone to have the very things that YOU have!
That part time thing is what companies in the business world do and it doesn't work there either. 2 part timers (for a full time job) does not equal one full timer.
Basically it's just a short sighted and nasty thing to do.
There once was a supervisor named Burke, that most people thought was a jerk, just ask at the school, They thought he was a fool, And knew he delegated all the work!!!
If you don't know what school to get, It’s the one in Nanuet, The parking lot is safe, Because there did he chafe, His work habits were therein set!!!
There once was a man named Don, With the police he could no longer carry on, He was known as a rat, And was getting fat, And he gave in to the come-on.
The ankle-biter liked to push his luck, most of his co-workers thought he did s@ck, He would turn on a dime because he is slime, and most certainly a stupid f@ck!!
To you posters who bash John Burke for not keeping the Pond open and for thinking that it will never get clear: 1. If you have a solution, please share it, or keep your mouth shut and 2. It's looking like the Pond is now clear and may open this week. Thank you to John Burke and the Parks Commissioners for all their hard work on the Pond. No thanks to all you malcontents.
How about some solutions instead of name-calling? You could do a better job? Run for office. You can clean up the Pond? Call the Parks office with your fixes. Blame is easy to give. Responsibility is hard to take. Maybe you should call Orange County. They're the ones who mandated everything at the Pond, and it was done by the book. Like I said, offer a solution so the Pond can reopen. We'll even give you credit, Anonymous!
Where were you when this was being done to Sheila? Were you so understanding then? Did you offer solutions to her or did you do the very same thing: act like a malcontent and do nothing but criticize?!!
We could use more ballfields, that is not such a bad idea. But big John will probably throw some more money into the pond, just like he threw money into the town hall to fix it up, new floors, new carpets, and now I hear that He wants to build a new town hall!!! Then why spend money on the old one??? What a nitwit!!!!!

Incomplete? how about failing grades for both the town and the village?
life seems the same to me!!!!
Whose the teacher giving out the grades? He/She/It is probably incomplete as well.
They're incomplete because you folks have to supply the grades.
H for Horrific
Woodbury is OK, the county government gets a failure. Anytime that Eddie Diana does something, it is just to line his own pockets.
That's untrue. Sometimes he lines his friends' pockets.

The Mayor is very nice but she does need to get better control.
What's wrong with the pond now?
The main thing wrong with the pond now is that it is CLOSED!!!!

"Big John"?
Are you nuts? The guy is a lying moron who is only good at covering his own rear. What is wrong with you?
You know, the majority of the people of this town are getting just what they deserve. Unfortunately, the rest of us have to suffer.

John Burke, The Town Board, and The Park Commissioners will look at every possible solution to solve this problem. I have complete faith in this TEAM.
Well now the pond looks like SH-T..how about the great John Burke now????

Boo hoo! poor John "the nasty" Burke!!!
I was there. Guess you didn't recognize me!
I was there too and did recognize you!
We were there too, don't you recognize us?
I wasn't there and don't want to recognize any of you.
WHERE were you?
Where are you?
Who are you?
What are you?
Hows a big f-ing F for the great job with the pond....
I'm sorry. I didn't hear your solution for fixing the Pond water. Would you repeat that?
fill in the hole.....make ballfields out of it. there is no fixing the mess there as I can see.

In the paper today, it says that the pond will not open again this year.
Way to go Johnny!!!!!
John concerns himself with simple things and he can't even get those things right!
