You Asked For It

Anonymous said...

Uncle Betty how about changing the topic to the upcoming town board candidates?

Residents need to know the ugly truth about Ralph.

He is pursuing an article 78 against the Village Planning Board and other entities that is costing the residents that live in the town.

How many lawsuits does that make?

When was the last time he actually served in an official elected position?

How many times has he lost an election?

WTF - we don't need or want Ralph!

It isn't true that no one can stand Ralph.

It is widely rumored that Jeanette can stand him.

Anonymous said...

what's the details of the lawsuit ???

Anonymous said...

I heard that he has a very valid issue against the village planning board relating to zoning changes, that they approved that changes seasonal dwellings to year round residential.

Anonymous said...

I heard he's spending taxpayer money in his vendetta against Swiller.

Why else the sudden interest in seasonal houses, Ralphie?

Anonymous said...

I heard that he has very valid concerns that Swiller stands up to him and laughs at him and the Village Board won't make him stop.

Anonymous said...

12:20 AM Poster - Are you for real?

Produce your proof for all to hear and see that any Village Board member allowed that type of behavior at their meetings.

Ralph is a nasty old man who should stay away from politics.

He will not win and will look the fool once again.

Anonymous said...

Ok lets put all the b/s a side and lets look at the current board we have now and who will on the board in Jan 2010 and what the taxes are going to be and what services will cut i do not care what happen in the past we need to look at what going happening in the future.
Take look around this town and see what's going on.
one thing is for sure I'll be asking a lot of question I will be voting with the one that gives me the right answers

Anonymous said...

The answers you want or the truth you need?

Anonymous said...

Past actions will give you a clue to future actions. So, if someone was a real bast@#d in the past, more than likely they will be a real one in the future.

So that means: No Ralph, No Frank
George Peterson is just a puppet, so probably No George.

So what's a townie to do?

Write in someone else. But everyone has to write in the same name or it won't work.

Anonymous said...

The voters have no one to choose,
these candidates have to lose,
pick someone good,
then write in as you should,
or be caught taking a snooze!!!!

Anonymous said...

Write in campaigns don't work very often. Besides, who would you get to do it?

Anonymous said...

the only answer is the truth
and yes in the past these persons were and are bas#
but look at this way
john will not always get this way with ralph & geo.
but with the kid and frank it's going to be yes john ok john what ever you say john then tell me then what if this thing with the village
happens and the town get everything back what will happen then we must keep them in check

Anonymous said...

You seriously think Ralphie wouldn't be a yes man to John? Ha - what world are you living in?

Anonymous said...

Ralph and Frank will not be yes men but they have their own agenda. They MUST NOT get into office, not matter what the alternatives are.

You're all so stupid.

Anonymous said...

Article 78s cost thousands of dollars in court costs for both sides. The village has us tax payers. How is Ralphie paying for his. Is this Article 78 factual or heresay. Also what EXACTLY is this "Article 78" focusing on?? I have to see it in here. I see only opinions and poor ones at that.

Anonymous said...

to the 7:50 poster:

Ralph has filed paperwork in the courts and served the Village also.

Submit a F.O.I.L. to the Village Clerk and verify for yourself about the Article 78 that Ralph has
against the Building Department and Village Planning Board.

While you are requesting this information ask for the attorney fees being incurred to answer this Article 78 in the courts.

Ralph is costing all taxpayers dearly for his own selfish reasons and should not be voted into office!

Damn, I typed a whole long entry and then got an error message and lost the whole thing so I have to type it all over again.

Anyway, it looks like most people here agree on voting for James and are divided over what to do about the second seat.

Some people want to bullet vote, some say vote for Frank, some say vote for George.

So here's my 2 cents.

Every vote for another candidate is a vote that hurts Ralph, so bullet voting (not using your second vote) helps Ralph.

Frank is a self-centered jerk who is only out for Frank.

George is Ralph's puppet. If he gets on the board he will be Ralph's eyes and ears in every closed executive session and every close meeting eith the Town Attorney. That could cause tremendous damage.

Even if Frank is a selfish jerk, he is on his own. He can't do anywhere as much harm as Ralph (directly or through a puppet). So I'm going to hold my nose and vote for Frank.

Anonymous said...

Frank is a direct conduit to KJ!!!(or as he calls them "The men in the black hats")
And you think that is better than a dopey guy that MIGHT tell Ralph everything? Are you for real? Or are you....wait for it....Frank's good friend....DEASIREE!!!!!The town clerk/village clerk/Archway Property Management clerk/Candle seller who works for FRANK!!!!

If you are not, then you need to rethink what you are about to do. One lousy sleeze can do more damage than you can even imagine.

Anonymous said...

If only she were nice,
People would vote for her twice,
She can't get a handle,
But she'll sell you a candle,
Her soul has already paid the price!

Rock and a Hard Place said...

No I'm not Desiree. I'm too polite to be her.

I've heard people link Frank to KJ and I've heard that about Ralph, about Swiller and about anyone else who gets mentioned here. So, unless you have more information it's just so mush noise. If you do have info, post it.

It still comes down to the fact that unless there is a really organized write in campaign for someone else we are going to have Frank or Ralph or George (worse yet, maybe two of them).

I don't know much about Frank except tat everyone seems to dislike him.

I do know Ralph and I know that he is out and out evil.

SO I still feel I'd rather have a lone jerk rather than one who has a cult of idiots behind him (and that goes for his puppet too, I don't see any difference between having Ralph or his robot).

So, if you can put together a credible, organized write in campaign for a good candidate that has a realistic chance of success great. Otherwise I'm voting for Frank.

Anonymous said...

That's why we live in America-we're free to vote as we wish. I have to agree that George is the best second vote available and here is why...Frank is a KNOWN back-stabbing, self-serving egotist. He has proven throughout his political career, and while on the sidelines as well that he is a manipulator. He will do whatever it takes to "make the deal", and you can be assured it will always benefit himself, Amo and KJ. Ask him about his meetings with Amo at the diner just before Amo changed parties...they are two of a kind, and working tirelessly on behalf of KJ, undoubtedly with Manny cheering them on.

Unlike Rock and a Hard Place, I'll give George my vote and hope the Bald Eagle flies south.

Rock and a Hard Place said...

I agree that Frank is scary. I also feel that having Ralph's puppet in there is scary.

Is there any realistic chance for a write in candidacy and who would you suggest for it?

Anonymous said...

I agree that it's easy to accuse people of being in with KJ and I'd want more info.

For a writein who would you do? Sheila Gerri and Ted wouldn't do it.
So who,, Lorraine? Swiller? Robin? Sandy? Bob Hunter? Stephanie?

Anonymous said...

Definitely not Robin. Neal is bad enough. And the same for Sandy. Hunter wouldn't be bad if I was sure that Maria would keep her distance.

Anonymous said...

Lorraine, Maria or Sandy are all acceptable for me. Someone organize it and they'll probably get my 2nd vote (with the kid getting the other).

Anonymous said...

Now I know you people are crazy. Maria? That's about the craziest idea I have heard. Sandy is a good choice, as for the rest, you are all nuts! Think I'll go with Ralph this go around. Can't be any worse than what we have now.

Anonymous said...

Sounds like someone woke up from the Village election and has a bone to pick.

Anonymous said...

Isn't Lorraine being sued for her actions while on the Board?

Anonymous said...

I hear that Ralph has a lawsuit against Woodbury and he is running for office.

Anonymous said...

Yes it's true that Ralph has a lawsuit against Woodbury and is running for Woodbury Town Board.

No, Lorraine is NOT being sued for her actions while on the board. She is being sued by that crazy bast@ard Charlie Serra who claims that she tried to attack him. If you bother to look at the police reports, you will see who has a record of attacking people and it's not Lorraine.

We would vote for her and wish she was running.

Anonymous said...

You would vote for that crazy eyed bitch? You must be really dumb. What did she ever do that was good?

Anonymous said...

Somebody in this place better wake up because SINGLE FAMILY HOMES in this town/village are being bought and rented out. Single family homes are becoming ILLEAGAL single occupancy dwellings. In other words, a four bedroom house has about 15 people living in it. Or four families living in it so they can pay the rent to the slum landlord.

Anonymous said...

Let's do a write in for Gerri.

She is the ONLY one at this point that could pull it off.

Look at the alternatives!!!!!!!!!

I would write in for her and vote for James. Great combination.

Who's with me?

Anonymous said...

I agree that it would be a great combo, but Gerri isn't running for a reason: she doesn't want to.

Anonymous said...

What a horrible person to make fun of someone's physical traits! So what if Lorraine has something wrong with her eyes, you sick, very sick person. And I don't understand why the Uncle allows such horrible things to be on his site.

I would suggest that we write in for LORRAINE but I don't think she wants to do it. It is a shame really, because she has the most smarts out of all of them.

Anonymous said...

Oh! what name to write-in?
My, isn’t this excitin’?
With the touch of a pen,
And the know-how and when,
We may get someone who is Lightnin’!

Anonymous said...

You all try to advocate,
to try and get someone great,
you should have thought,
before the seat was bought,
Now, it is just to darn late!

You see, the joke's on you,
because no matter what you do,
the bad guys win,
and will commit their sin,
So, why bother to review?

Anonymous said...

Looky who came out of his hole last night to come to the board meeting!

Anonymous said...

Who? Frankie? or was it the other denizen of the deep, the infamous Ralphie?

Anonymous said...

The venerable Ralph Caruso!

Anonymous said...

He sits in the back taking notes,
he thinks this will get him votes,
but little does he know,
we're on to his show,
we're really not stupid old goats!!!

Anonymous said...

While not many would vote for Swiller
we like him because he's a thriller,
he can turn a phrase,
and weave through a maze,
but he just isnt a political pillar!

Anonymous said...

Wheres Frankie? Last time I saw him he didn't look too good. Neither did his dear friend/employee/town clerk/village clerk/Archway Management employee/mail order person/Desiree

Guess they both feel there is no need to talk to the people who might vote for them since it is a given....

Anonymous said...

Last time he's made an appearance anywhere was at the board meeting two weeks ago. He spoke and was actually pretty gracious about James getting the appointment.

As for Desiree...well, let's just say that she's still Desiree.

Anonymous said...

Hopefully Frank has been lulled into some false sense of security that his winning in November is a given-that way he'll continue to stay in his hole, and George and Ralph or a "write-in" may actually have a chance...at this point I think I'd vote for ANYONE ELSE but Frank!

Anonymous said...

I agree,ANYONE BUT FRANK

Anonymous said...

Photo News calls Ralphie and George "Woodbury political veterans." Sure as hell got a laugh outta that one!

Anonymous said...

Village Mayor Michael Queenan voiced concern about the fairness and enforcement of the law, specifically for temporary, usually weekend only, signs such as a realtor’s “Open House” signs or yard sale signs.

Spoken like a true Realtor.

And you guys all beat up on Ralph and Palermo?

Anonymous said...

Queenan-so transparent-what a joke.

Anonymous said...

If you had paid attention, you would have heard Queenan say he doesn't do open houses in Woodbury.
Guess the jokes on you.

Anonymous said...

Some pretend to be a caliber higher,
something to which we all should aspire,
but the jokes on you,
do as they say and not do,
because they really are in the muck and mire!

So, more than a persons word,
and more than what you think you heard,
see what they do,
are their actions true?
and then get your thoughts away from the turd!

Anonymous said...

"If you had paid attention, you would have heard Queenan say he doesn't do open houses in Woodbury.
Guess the jokes on you."

????? What are you talking about- I was referring to what was reported in the paper!

Anonymous said...

OOoooo!the paper!

Anonymous said...

you guys have all this time to blog and criticize; get off your fat asses and go to a meeting to put on the official record what you say here. or are you too scared?

Anonymous said...

That is why you people who critize can't win an election.

Who cares if Mike Q is a realtor!

Is he involved in big land sales in woodbury where he stands to make big bucks. NO

He sells people's homes. It's not that complicated. Open house signs benefit the people who's homes are up for sale. Those people are residents of this town/village.

Usually jealousy brings on such negative chatter. Why don't you work really hard and then maybe you can afford a nice home like the Queenan's. Otherwise crawl back under the rock you came out of.

Pathetic,pathetic,pathetic....

Anonymous said...

Over the next few months I will post a few reasons why RC is wrong for Woodbury.
If we listened to him KJ would own all the undeveloped land in Woodbury. He was part of the lawsuit to over throw the zoning change and if his Golden Boy Aronowicz would have listened to him we all we be screwed. Under his leadership of the Zoning board how many Lawsuits did the town have to fight because he is not pro business, which means all of us have to pay more taxes? He lead the group who told us if we have a Village we would be better off, how did that work? Higher taxes and more Government! Stay tuned for more…

Anonymous said...

We see those who like to complain,
because they are really in pain,
they can't stand the action,
so they have a bad reaction,
but they have nothing to gain!

Anonymous said...

Coterminous?

Anonymous said...

Coterminous?....

Yes Queenan is working on consolidating. Isn't that what they ran on?

Hopefully they will be successful. At least he tries instead of making up excuses to make the Village more powerful and have a reason to justify a fat salary like the past Mayor.

Anonymous said...

What? Mike Queenan didn't cure cancer yet? He's been in office for at least 4 months now, why so slow?

Anonymous said...

Beware the little mice!
who say things not-so-nice,
they plant a seed,
to do their dirty deed,
and do so more than thrice!

Anonymous said...

Oh! dear Uncle Betty,
for you we will not throw confetti,
you're supposed to look out,
and then give a shout,
as the monitor Uncle Betty.

Love the "Holier than Thou" remarks from you-know-who...quite self-serving.

Where is Frank's Photo????????????

Anonymous said...

He's on the wall at your local post office

He's actually hanging up at KJ Village Hall as one of their advisors!

From today's record:
Federal ethics office tells employee he can’t run for Walden Town Board

By Meghan E. Murphy
Posted: August 05, 2009 - 2:00 AM
TOWN OF MONTGOMERY — The federal Office of Special Counsel’s Ethics Department this weekend advised town board candidate Frank Manuele that he’s ineligible to run for office because he is a federal employee.
Manuele, of Walden, is an ultrasonographer for the Hudson Valley Health Care System. Under the federal government’s Hatch Act, he can’t run for public office in a partisan election.
The Town of Montgomery Democratic Committee endorsed Manuele and Lisa Kimball over Democratic incumbents JoAnn Jasiel and Joan Buck Smith. The incumbents then petitioned to force a primary election Sept. 15.
Manuele’s name will remain on the primary ballot because the last day to remove candidates was July 20.

Uncle Betty-weren't you looking into something similar with regard to our very own Councilman Haviland??? Whatever happened with that?

Anonymous said...

Hey don't you know, in Woodbury you can get away with breaking the law and being in office, what wrong with you?

Anonymous said...

Oh and it was sooo worth it to have someone so qualified to be on our town board. And then look at our choices this time around....
FRANK
RALPH
JOHN B

and we are getting what we deserve because we just don't get involved.

Anonymous said...

What happened at last night's meeting?

Anonymous said...

Calling all residents, come out to the next town board meeting on 9/3and see how Jim Skoufis conducts business.

I'm not impressed, his smirks and childish ways have not won me over.

Pack the room and make a decision for yourself.

Anonymous said...

You must be a newbie- ever see how the other candidates (for that matter elected officials as well) smirk, pull their ears, roll their eyes and totally dismiss the public? Please- that should be the least of your worries.

James Skoufis said...

Yes, I encourage everyone to come to any and all meetings and make a judgment for yourself rather than take the word of an anonymous poster.

Uncle Betty said...

A news flash: It seems that Ralph is "not impressed" by James. Wow, that's got to be a heavy burden for the young fellow to bear.

Anonymous said...

I hear Dennis was raked over the coals the other night...perhaps it's time for a new engineer and planner??? Maybe they've become a little too comfortable??

Curious James said...

Did Dennis do his job at the request of the town board? Did they authorize work to be performed? Was it done?

What did the Town Board perceive that his company did wrong?

Did the Town Board have a contract with Dennis?

Anonymous said...

I'm voting for Ralph. When the seductive greed and power of politics begins to surface, there becomes a need to bring the "bad guy" back just to balance the scales.

Anonymous said...

That is some pretty twisted logic.

Anonymous said...

Not twisted at all when you start taking a look at all the players, both elected and appointed.

Anonymous said...

Bad Guy is the wrong choice of words. When Ralph was on the zoning board, he always asked the tough questions. I am voting for Ralph "The Good Guy with courage"!

Anonymous said...

"Bad Guy" was in quotation marks for a reason...
