Cold!

Lowe's has just dropped out as sponsor of NBC's annual telecast of Frosty the Snowman.

They were acting in response to a letter they'd received from the Freedom Families for Democracy and Diligence Association of America.

The FFDDAA had objected to FtS's "slanted depiction of snow as a happy friendly substance while ignoring the countless deaths due to blizzards, avalanches and hypothermia."

Lowe's's CEO, who asked not to have his name used, stated that the company was not taking sides on this issue, but was merely interested in not offending their customers.

Haven't people got BETTER things to do than to worry about something soooooo ridiculous???

I hope you're kidding!

I hope so too.

I am the Chairperson of the Free-loving Familiar Families of America and will caution everyone not to confuse the two groups.
We exist to remind all Americans that familiarity does not necessarily breed contempt.

Thank you, Mr. Uncle Betty, for letting me make that clarification.

Wow this site is dormant! I guess everyone is happy with things in Woodbury.

Happy with the Supervisor who spends the day napping in his office?

Happy with the Mayor who has ties to a developer and even has one of the developer's cronies on one of the Boards?

Happy with the Town Clerk/Village clerk/Deputy Supervisor and whatever other titles and jobs she has, who doesn't think there's anything wrong with being all of these?

Happy with the way these buffoons are defending our way of life?

Happy with the threat of KJ taking over?

Happy with your village taxes?

Are you really happy?

If not, SPEAK UP!!!

I just read the Photo News and it was stated that there are no plans to develop the property near the Morgan Court retention pond. Funny, I heard there are plans to build yet another strip mall.

Did you check with the village building department to see if plans have been submitted by the current owner to build a strip?
Talk about crying wolf.....

i saw wayne cortz and his crew in the morgan court pond. i heard he is trying to buy the property in that area. just remember this is the same person that has bought property before in town and has flipped it to KJ. Watch out Morgan Court, Gregory Lane and Cottonwood if he buys it.
