Degrade Debate

The Pieman emerges from his slumber to inform us that there will, in fact, be a debate.

All four candidates for town council seats - Ralph, Frank, George and James - have agreed to meet on Wednesday, October 28th, 7:30 PM at the Central Valley Elementary School.

The debate will be sponsored by OCEAN and moderated by Gerri Gianzero.

The Pieman asks that people come at 7 PM to write out their questions for the candidates.

James,

One thing you need to learn my young lad is not to bother to justify or explain your actions here. Most, if not all (including me), of the respondents here have a biased opinion and an ax to grind. Nothing you do or say will change their decrepid little (& I do mean little) minds. Best advice is not partake but to just read and laugh at the stupidity.

You're kidding, right? The smug, very satisfied look on the "young lad's" face each time he attacked tells me that this kid holds himself in VERY high regard, and makes me wonder if he is not a little too full of himself. I think it's great that he's gotten involved, but I also think he needs to come down off his own pedastal and see that there is MUCH to be learned...puffing up his chest and taking on Ralph in a public forum as he did will come back to bite him big time-I'm not saying he shouldn't speak the truth, but he needs to learn how to do it in a more dignified, mature manner. James' behavior left me now questioning whether or not I will vote for him afterall.

It seems that most of John K.s supporters are the good old boys. He didn't have the balls to get petitions to get on the ballot, but he has spent big bucks on advertising. Since he is not a "candidate" no financial disclosures are required. Who are his backers? Brodsky, Acorn, The PBA, or KJ ??? JIM whats your spin on this?????

Frank check your facts, the rink cost more then $150,000 not the $25,000 you say.
Frank J. Palermo seeks your vote

I’m proud to announce my candidacy for Woodbury Town Councilman. I lived in Woodbury 26 years, have been a self-employed businessman for 34 years, have been married 31 years to Shari and we have two children and one grandson.

Rather than list all the committees and boards I have been involved in, I prefer to list some of my accomplishments while serving as a councilman in Woodbury 1996-2000.

In my first year serving, I secured a $25,000 contribution to help build Woodbury’s roller rink at no cost to the taxpayers.

If it's beyond you, then you have no insight into how people read and think. That's all I got to say 'bout that.
