Republican district, biggest Republican year in generations, and Nancy still only [maybe?] barely cracks 50% of the vote.

Voters are finally starting to realize they have nothing to show for 20 years.

Can we get a breakdown of how Woodbury voted in each of the races?

1. It is not that Republican of a district anymore.

2. It was an anti-incumbent year not a Republican year. Republican challengers did well because Democrats were in the majority everywhere.

3. Since it was an anti-incumbent year of course it was going to be close, especially with all the negative lies that Roxanne and the Democrat NYC insiders funding her campaign told. But, at the end of the day Nancy won because negative money only goes so far. You actually have to talk positive about yourself at least some of the time, which never happened.

4. Are you people really sitting around waiting with baited breath for the absentee outcome??? The whole rest of the world has moved on, maybe you guys should too!

1. 4% Republican lean - look it up.

2. It was anti-incumbent, but far more anti-Dem. Again, look it up - most polling had a generic Republican up 10% over a generic Democrat.

3. Nancy should move to Manhattan and run against Shelly Silver - based on her campaign, I often forgot she was running against Roxanne!

4. Nancy ran one of the worst campaigns I've ever seen - see #2 as to why she's winning. Also helps name recognition that she's been around for 20 years cutting ribbons and cruising in parades (Lord know she doesn't do anything else).

Let's see Mrs. Calhoun live up to her own hype and finally DO something!

If she wins, I'm sure she'll just continue to blame Democrats for everything she can't do. Wah wah wah

Just get the job done

Why is the responsibility to "get the job done" only Nancy's responsibility when the other 149 members cant get anything done unless it is personally approved by Speaker Silver? Do I need to give some more informative lectures about majority Democrat members who "dont get the job done" because their bill or project is not important to ol Shelly. Someone needs to spend some time in Albany seeing how things really get done in this state instead of sitting in Woodbury thinking you know all.

Oh and Nancy gained 101 votes today at the recount and yes, towns that Roxanne won like Highlands (her own town) and Cornwall were counted. In fact Nancy kept Roxanne almost at level in Highlands...thankfully absentee voters Highlands are allot smarter.

Roxanne should be able to go home with her tail between her legs by this time tomorrow.

Thanks, Jimmy Booth - class act, as always.

It's no wonder you were run out of local politics and had nowhere to turn but Nancy's lap.

And speaking of "smarter" voters, let's take a look at the three towns that know our two fine candidates best: Highlands, Woodbury, and Blooming Grove.

Nancy got creamed in all three, including her own home town. I wonder why that is???

"Classless Act" is a better way to describe Calhoun and Booth! Watch and see them go after every single person that stood up to her. She is a vindictive psychopath who will now stop at nothing to destroy anyone who exercised their rights to speak out against her. Just watch and see-she's a freak!

I do not need to hide behind an anonymous post like most here in Woodbury do. I have never been more happy to have been "run out" of Woodbury politics. It was the best thing that ever happened to me. As a result, I have moved further along and to higher levels of politics & government than if I sat here in this town. I never have nor do I need to sit on anyone's lap.

Oh please, Jim. Almost every anonymous attack in this thread on anyone who dares oppose Nancy is from you.

Proof: The BOE didn't release absentee results until today so only people present at the counting yesterday (like you) would've known town-by-town results, as a poster (you) wrote before.

Or maybe Nancy herself writes here! We'd be so lucky to be graced with her presence.

Ummm, I did not do the count alone in a bunker underground. There were many people there coming and going including media all day long. Just because the BOE was not giving out results does not mean there were not other ways to know the results. I was too busy assisting with the campaigns of several victorious candidates throughout the Hudson Valley all year to sit here and have a debate with the two or three people in Woodbury who spend all their time here on this blog. I stopped by today our of curiosity because I had not been here for awhile to see what any comments might be as a result of today's count.

You've moved onto higher levels in politics? You're a lowly paid Republican Assembly staffer.

OMG! Is there any meaningful dialogue out there?

Jim-thou protesth too much- we all know that you have been on this site way before your claim. Face it, you have gone NO WHERE if you think working for Nancy is SOME WHERE. She lost Orange County and that should speak volumes to her, but sadly it won't. She'll park her fat butt back in Albany for about 4 of the 6 months that she should be there and do nothing but whine-or travel all over NY supposedly doing research and once again come up with nothing. So is she rewarding you with a companion flight to Cancun in February? What a joke she is-too bad Stony Point residents don't know her like Orange County residents. As the prior poster wrote, it will be interesting to see who she goes after in her thirst for revenge rather than doing what she was elected to do. How come you didn't comment on that Jim-guess you know her well enough to know her MO.

She can try and take down whomever she wants - she has zero clout and respectability left. I heard she had fundraisers that no one came to.

Guess that's why she had to loan herself almost $100k of her own money. And, gosh, all those letters to the editor were overwhelming! One from Jimmy Booth, one from Steve Neuhaus, both bought and paid for (literally) by Assembly Republicans!

Yea, go after whomever you want, Nancy.
