I seem to recall that one or two opinions of the upcoming contest for Highway Superintendent have already been posted.
So let us now turn our attention to the rest of the ballot.
The powers that be (Ralph and John perhaps) have decided that we shouldn't trouble our pretty little heads worrying about Town Supervisor.
So, for the moment, lets focus on the councilmanic (or is it manic council?) elections.
Incumbents Carlton Levine and Bo Haviland will be facing off against Tim Arone and Marilyn Prestia.
So, what say you?

People of Woodbury: remember the yellow flyer and lies of four years ago. We finally get a chance to make them pay for their deceit.
The John Burke Clone aka Carlton Levine has to go - he's worthless.
Get Do-Nothing Carlton out and replace him with Tim and we might get a decent board again.
Lyn Prestia had about 1400 people vote for her for school board even though she lost. But she did get appointed and is on the school board now, right?
If she wins the town board spot, will she resign from the school board? She should.
She did lost the school board election but was not appointed. She currently holds no elected or appointed positions.

I usually don't follow his logic but BoBo at least thinks for himself.
Carlton should just resign and let John have two votes - would at least save us some money.

VOTE For Carlton Levine & Bo they have kept our taxes down! I will also vote for Stabile we need his experience. He has done a good job!
If you want to waste taxpayer money then vote for Levine. Levine and Palermo are the only two board members that take out the insurance through the town which costs us taxpayers $18,000 per year. Levine has taken the insurance out for the past four years and Palermo has done it for the past two years. Levine has cost taxpayers $72,000 for this alone while in office. Also, the board voted to give themselves a 3% raise in 2011 as well. With millions of people out of work or taken pay decreases just to keep their job this doesn’t seem fair to me. This is all public information that anyone can request. Why wasn’t Carlton helping out the residences like Skoufis was during hurricane Irene? As for Pete his time is up and we need some new blood in the Highway Department. Send Carlton, Bo & Pete packing.
AND Levine no doubt gets offered health insurance from his job (unlike probably Palermo, in his defense).
Town insurance despite doing NOTHING as a councilman + kickbacks from his job = Levine is taking us all for a ride!
Has anyone seen how Levine even has nodded off at times...I know, must be the pain meds-maybe if he got out and actually walked the Town he supposedly represents he'd shed some of those pounds and alleviate his back problems. He has ABSOLUTELY been one BIG waste of time and money-rode in on the coat-tails of Burke and has kept his nose right there ever since. What say I?? Get rid of the loser Levine!!!
Woodbury residents complaining of how the New York State Police direct traffic on Route 32 at the south end of town on the weekends call their dispatch at Troop F, Zone 2 Station in Monroe 782-8311.
Call them when you are stuck traffic.
Call them when they stop you from getting home.
Call and put pressure on them to get the local traffic moving.
What is the pay for town council?
Did you want that WITH or WITHOUT the health insurance benefits that Levine, and I believe Palermo take??
The pay for the council position is around $8,400. If a person is appointed as the deputy supervisior which Levine is I think that position gets additional money as well. The insurance benefit for a family is a cost of $18,000.
Listen up people, you get the government that you deserve. You idiots in Woodbury deserve liars and self serving politicos like Levine and Burke.
You don't deserve good people like Skoufis, he is doing a good job and he actually works for the money he collects from the town, he knows that it is not just going to meetings a few times a month to fall asleep. and "sleepy time" is not just Levine but Burke as well!!!
