As Requested: Pipeline Update

In response to a posting by our most active reader, Anonymous, we turn our attention away from our attempt to come up with a new Jeremy Lin pun and look to the pipeline.

Last week pipeline engineers, under the watchful eyes of KJ attorneys, presented a somewhat brief overview of their plans to the Woodbury town and village boards.

As we already know, their plan is to put the pipe alongside (for the most part) routes 32 and 44. They'll be coming down from Cornwall, turning west at Ridge Rd and again at 7 Springs Mountain Rd.

They intend to start work in May and continue for 1 or 2 years.

What effect this will have on traffic access to those roads is not yet known.

Meanwhile, back at Route 105, the County is supposed to be working on reopening that road "in the Spring." We will attempt to get a more precise set of dates.

Left unanswered is where all the money for the pipeline is coming from.

Stay tuned.

H.T. to Anonymous.

This week, not last week.

Look at som old newspaper articles. The money is coming from a 30 million dollar bond that KJ has already acquired.

Don't worry we have mayor mike who will protect us.

Have any of you, dare I ask, considered attending a town or village board meeting to find out?

Nah! That would be too easy. I rather bash them with my stupid stick. I call it a stupid stick because it's my stick and I'm stupid.

Photo News reports Jim Skoufis running against Nancy. A brave soul to challenge Ms. Mean --- good luck, Jim!

Our elected officials are doing nothing!!! They are just going to let it happen an it makes us wonder just what they are getting from this deal!!!

If you seen the papers in the past you know there are lawsuits going on about this and it all comes down to the judges in this case. What ever the judges decide will be the out come not the elected officials. The odds are stacked agaisnt us because KJ will probably buy off the judges.

there are no outstanding lawsuits, your village mayor gave up on that.
Did he also broker the deal that sold Thevenet to the hasids?

You forgot about the Town's lawsuit - village idiot

Also, the sisters have not sold out to the Hasids at least not yet.

Look KJ wants your water and they are going to get it because we do not have anyone in office with either the desire or the brains to do something about it!!

What have our dunce(s) mayor and supervisor done? NOTHING!!! They definitely do not have the tiniest bit of understanding but they sure can play it for the cameras!!!!

Sell now. Mike can get you a good deal.

Oh stop! There is nothing anyone can do about KJ! Stop blaming Mike for making a living.

Got any bight ideas on how t stop them Buckoo?

At least we don't live in Washingtonville. What a circus in that village.

Anonymous said...

Stop KJ? Thats what we pay our politicans to do. THEY are supposed to have the ideas, BUCKO

Anonymous said...

you need to pay them more then. Again...the town is presently in the courts in an attempt to stop them.

What do you want them to do. Man the barricades with weapons?

Hail Sparta!

THE TOWN HAS BEEN FIGHTING THIS TOOTH & NAIL. Sell Ur house let the mayor make some profits!

Anonymous said...

The village has done nothing to stop kj. Why is the village not suing KJ like the town. At least the town is looking out for us. Let's hope the court cases go in our favor.

What lawsuit is the town involved in?
If that is true then why are we being told that work will start in May?

Anonymous said...

the lawsuit involves the sewage capacity due to the pipeline according to the papers in the past. if you search the record you can get more information about the suit. if the town wins the sewage lawsuit then they cant turn the water on for the pipeline.

Anonymous said...

not true. They will build the pipeline and then when told they can't they will say "Oops, well it's done so we may as well use it"

The same method they used for the water towers not too long ago....
