Kiryas Joel has asked the County to give the Village a section of County Route 44 (Seven Springs Mountain Road) so that they can put in a sidewalk. The sidewalk is a good idea, giving away control over the middle of an important through route isn't.
On Wednesday, August 22, at 3 PM the Physical Services Committee of the County Legislature will be discussing and then voting on this issue.
Nothing gets a legislator's attention like knowing that he (or she) is being watched by the voters.
The more people who show up for this meeting, the better the chance for a good outcome.
Come down to the County Government Building in Goshen.
Let them see you seeing them.

-Lying to the people about the actual cost this village was gonna cost us?
-That we needed to create this village to protect from smaller villages when he first said it was to stop annexation. Annexation was the focal point of the debate on creating this village...smaller villages was never a focal point and was never an issue.
-That the town and village can have a joint fire district. False some towns do have it as long as there is an unincorporated part of the town left to base the fire district from. Woodbury has no unincorporated land left the whole town is in one of the two villages. Therefore, we can't continue to have a town fire district.

Apparently, the village election told us who was telling the lies we the people determined it was Ralph. Overwhelmingly!!!

Valid points??? The only valid point Ralph Caruso makes is that he signs his name to his bullshit! His opening line where he states the TH-R printed a misleading article is certainly the "pot calling the kettle black"!!! Caruso is the Master of Misleading statements, as evidenced by his entire "We Must Have A Village" and mayorial campaigns. One strength Ralph has is that when he bullshits and lies, he doesn't waiver from it...just continues to pile it on, and say it over and over again in an effort to make people believe him! What a miserable LOSER!

The only REASON for creating a village was to protect Woodbury from having multible smaller villages with one village possibly having a block vote due to population. Annexation had nothing to do with creating a village. That is usually decided in court if two areas can't agree!! YOU already know that! You just want to stir the pot!!!!!!!!!

As to the multiple villages argument, it's a shame that Ralph didn't choose to focus on that point during the "selling of a village" campaign. Instead he used the false argument that it would prevent annexation.
Ralph's response to this is always "show me where that's written." The fact that Ralph told us again and again that we would be protected from annexation, but went out of his way never to leave a paper trail shows that he knew at the time that it was a dishonest argument.
His problem is that hundreds of us remember what was said.
If this is true show me where and when he said that .I believe you can't !! Who are the "hundreds of us " who heard him say it ?

Quick change of subject- after reading the "Summary of Facts" submitted to the Virginia court in the Michael Vick dog fighting case by the two pleading GUILTY, I do believe that there are times when our judicial system should use the old "eye for an eye" as punishment. Acording to the two defendants pleading guilty, they say Vick was not only the money man, he also attended the fights, and went so far as to KILL at least 8 dogs who didn't perform well...and by brutal means including hanging, drowning and electrocution! Frankly, Vick should be chained, naked, to a car axle (just like he did to his 54 + dogs),and let the elements have at him! What a waste! And to think the judicial system is "working with him" to cut him a deal! Makes me outraged and sick to my stomach- the greedy, sick bastard!
I heard Mike A had a fund raiser this weekend and only a few people came and it was a bust. Ralph showed up and was seen sitting with Mike and it was like old times. Can someone confirm that is true?
I heard that Brodsky and family were there and made a huge donation to Mikes campaign
Mike invited me as his guest (we made no donation). There was a good sized crowd. Mike's sister-in-law's band played and she sang (she was terrific).
Caruso didn't show up - which doesn't speak well of the "Chairman of the Woodbury Republican COmmittee."
Brodsky wasn't there either, so some anonymous folks are still out there spreading malicious rumors.
On the whole, if someone posts an attack anonymously and offers no proof - assume it's bull!
I guess some people are jealous because they did not get an invitation to Mike's fundraiser, so they have to make up lies.
Think about how pathetic you sound. Maybe next time he will invite you so you can see for yourself.
