If you're referring to the picture, it's none other than Carlton Levine- the poor soul who the Dems convinced to run for town board along with Bo "three strikes you're out" Haviland. From what I understand, he hasn't ever attended Woodbury board meetings of any type, never served on any committee, and has absolutely no idea of what's going on, other than what Manny and his peeps have brainwashed him to belive.
Question: what does McNEILL do for a living? Does anyone know anything about her, does she even live in Woodbury and has somebody ever been inside her home? Carlton is very busy working to pay the taxes to live here so he does not have time to attend flip chart meetings!
Is it true that the Village Board's attorney knew about the August 31, 2006 letter regarding the purchase of the land where the water towers for KJ are located?
When he was hired in November to be the attorney for the Village Board, he stayed on as the Planning Board attorney...... So why didn't he mentioned this letter to the mayor and her trustees last November or December?
Why would the attorney have known about it? He wasn't the Town Board's attorney, and according to Big John's "My View", Burke himself was the one who wrote back and forth to KJ. I have been taking a break from Uncle Betty for a while and have been catching upon all the blogs. It seems that people are not realizing what the Village Board is actually doing. Even among themselves. There are 3 members,one being the Mayor herself, that are leaving the other 2 trustees in the dark about key issues. Let me remind you Ms Weeks and other trustees, you were not elected for your knowledge, intellect, personality, or experience. You people were brought in for the simple fact that you were a warm body. You were nobodies before the election, and will be nobodies again after you loose your seat. Hopfully the new Board will have at least some clue on how to run the Village, without having Mayor GOLDEN make all the decisions. When will the Village Board meetings be aired for all of us at home to watch? Many of us work one or two jobs in order to afford to live in Woodbury. Most us don't have the extra time to attend meetings in person.
Overheard at Jay's, Village Trustee Kling (aka "I'll do anything my attorney tells me to do")was discussing the Highway Department. He stated that he felt from a business and legal point of view, it made no sense to continue to have that department stay with the Town. Can the Village just take that department? He also went on to say that he was not going to run again as he felt his time volunteering was better spent working with the Fire Department, Boy Scouts, etc. Everyone knows these know it alls get paid. What's up with that?
What!!! The Village Board members promised to keep everything the same. Now they want to take over the Highway Dept? I moved here from Rockland County because my Town was made into a Village. Every year Village taxes went up and up. They continued to take over more and more of the town services which should of made our town taxes go down. The town taxes went down pennies and the Village taxes went up hundreds of dollars. Please Village Officials do not change anything. Give us taxpayers a break. We are happy with the way things are now.

I can't answer for the highway, but it does seem to sort of make sense. DPW would cover all of the workings. Just so you get it straight, the meetings you are speaking of are a deal that the Fire District is trying to do in concert with Harriman and Monroe. The Village officials (including myself) are not involved. Mr. Caruso is still wrong as this is a last ditch effort to save the Fire District. There can not be a Joint Fire District without covering a part of another Town or Village. All the lawyers agree that the Fire District is no more as of 1/1/08. Regarding the budget, the numbers have all been public for some time now. The Village has been including them in their plans should the Fire District fall through. If you have any questions on this, please feel free to contact me. I am in the phone book.
A sincere thanks Mr. Kling...it's just a shame that you hard working individuals have to take time out of your busy days to respond to the garbage and lies posted on this blog. It should be underscored (again!) that the Village board is actually taking the time to consult lawyers and work carefully through this highly unusual village creation process as the law requires. Granted, that might not have "saved us as much money" as Mr. Caruso, who doesn't need lawyers. Evidently he would have relied on his sheer charisma to shield the town from lawsuits.

Even the members of the Town Board don't always agree aongst themselves...individuality is God given. Anyone who thinks everyone should think alike needs to start their own country.
You don't seem to know what the hell you're talking about. Please define "get along" when you've got Town board members publicly pushing for condemnation of the Village Board?? In fact, I was told that at one such public meeting, even the candidates running for John were pushing for it too! Your idea of getting along is warped, at best.
