Caruso's Team Unwrapped

Ralph Caruso's invisible petition campaign (untouched by human eyeballs) is done and Uncle Ralphie is now willing to inform us of his choices for the Perversion Party's slate: Ben Meyers, George Pedersen and Frederick Ungererer.

This handpicked team of stale warts (sorry: "stalwarts") have announced (well actually, Ralph announced it, but Ben, George and Fred moved their lips at the appropriate times) that their top priority will be to "stop government waste by consolidating expenses."

Isn't the whole problem of waste from unconsolidated expenses due to the fact that Ralph and his crew scared us into creating a village?

Oh well, nobody's perfect.

There's no secrecy here. Mr. Myers came to my door and was very articulate. Too bad I had already signed a petition at the post office for another team of candidates. I say good luck to the honest ones who walk the town.

Anonymous said...

Honesty is the key. It will be interesting to see whose interpretation of "honesty" actually does convince the voters.

Didn't Ungerer sue the Town? Gee, that seems like a smart choice for taxpayers!!

Anonymous said...

Finally!!! A team of candidates who are trying to get elected to truly represent the taxpayers of this village and are doing this as public servants instead of the usual self serving POLITICIANS who continuously run again and again for office for their own benifit.

My oldest son was friends with George's son when they were in HS. They are a nice family, and George is honest.

Ben Meyers saved my life in WW I. George gave me a kidney. Fred is a good boy and always picks up after himself.

There's no secrecy here, except that none of us will sign our names.

Ben Meyers at first glance, is seemingly intelligent. BUT, how can anyone intelligent be such good friends with the village moron, Don Seibold?
That friendship is a flaw in the outwardly reasonable Ben Meyers.

Fred Ungererer did indeed sue the town and also has a sketchy record on the parks commission. He is another nasty, stupid person.

George P. Has he even said a word all the years on the ZBA? What has he contributed?

Ralph, can't you do any better?

What the hell are you talking about?

George gave me a kidney too!
Whatta guy

For the record, it was Ungerer's wife who filed an Article 78. And I believe the developer paid most of the Town's legal fees. In return, he got his zoning approved.

To the last poster-What a way to over-simplify a very complicated situation. Must be part of CFTPOW- you people tend to over-simplify EVERYTHING... especially the VILLAGE!

Had the Preservation Party truly educated the residents instead of yelling "FIRE", maybe things would be different. And now look, Ralph's putting up the same misinformed, ignorant believers to try to run the Village AGAIN! Sorry Ralph, you and your band of followers are still spreading misinformation and lies, so I'm sure you'll be dismissed once again.

To the person who said " Queenan has a personal agenda, and Stephanie don't". I think her husband waiting in the wings in the hopes of being Police Chief is a pretty personal agenda. What a horror show that would be. The police make their own rules as it is, if that jerk Weeks becomes chief, god help us all.

Anonymous said...

Isn't the Police Department under control of the Town? If so, what does Stefanie being mayor have to do with anything? I thought the two governments were different.

Anonymous said...

THANK GOD (hope no one gets upset with using the name GOD) HOWEVER AT LAST A TEAM I CAN VOTE FOR...THANK GOD.....

Anonymous said...

Goes to show you don't value your vote too much if you're voting for Ralph's team. Two of them ran the first time around and haven't bothered to show up at a Village board meeting since it's inception. Ya, they're certainly devoted to their cause! They're nothing more than a misinformed and misguided cast of characters who still insist such things like the Fire District didn't have to be disbanded! Read the damn law! Oh, but how silly of me, when you follow Ralph, you live by his laws!

Anonymous said...

I got a liver 2 hearts and an eyeball from george...he is a great guy!!!

Anonymous said...

"Cheap Freddie " Ungerer is my guy .....He runs marathons and road races in $7.99 K-Mart sneakers ..He's the man to slice up the current bloated village budget. A man for these economically hard times !!

Anonymous said...

Yes it sure looks like change is in the wind and hot air is heavy on this stupid sight. GIVE UP ... You all had your clowns acting for long enough and should be laughed out of office...

Could someone of some intelligence (if that's possible on this site) please explain a few things for me?
1)What has the current Village Board done wrong, and/or what rules/laws have they broken? 2)When you say there is an over-inflated Village budget, could you please be specific as to where you have found there is over-spending? 3)In researching the Preservation Party, I have found that Mr. Caruso still insists that the Fire District didn't have to be disbanded, and yet, in doing further research with the State of NY, I found that the fire district did INDEED have to be disbanded by law. So what faith should I have in the Preservation Party's team of candidates if they are still offering untruths? 4)If the Police Department is still under the jurisdiction of the Town, then how could Mrs. Weeks being Mayor have any influence on the TOWN police department? 5)It would appear to be a conflict, but can Mr. Queenan remain a town board member if he were to become Mayor? Also, is there any conflict with Mr. Queenan's profession as a realtor if he were to become Mayor and be directly involved with possible zoning decisions? 6) Can Mr. Egan, Mr. Pederson or Ms. Capriglione remain ZBA members if they become a Village Trustee?

Just a few questions that I, as a voter would appreciate having answered in a polite, intelligent way- again, IF that is possible.

Thank you.

you are looking in the wrong place the only answers you get on this blpg is ralph this is ralph that ... and ... lies, lies and more lies.....

You guys used GOD! now I'm really upset! Were you talking about GOD or the other GOD, is GOD Ralph, John, Stephinie? I think GOD is really someone else, she makes alot of money and can be very rude.

Anonymous said...

Oh you mean Lorraine! You got the rude part right.

Anonymous said...

To the 8:03 am post.
1.The biggest problem is postponing and taking too long to make decisions on the issues that face them. This creates disgust among their constituents.
2. The budget is too new to be over inflated.
3.This is why you should have no faith in that group.
4. Being the mayor, she can have a good deal of influence on any town or village issue.
5. Yes to being on the town board. Possibly, but he could be recused if a decision required his vote.
6. No.

Anonymous said...

OK, so if I understand your answers, you're saying that Mayor weeks has influence over the TOWN board, but that if Mr. Queenan were to become mayor, there would be NO conflict with him being on both the Town & Village boards??? That doesn't seem to make any sense? Am I missing something?

Anonymous said...

People will listen to any comments Mayor Weeks, has due to her position as Mayor. Whether that has an influence on them is up to them.
Mr. Queenan could be Mayor, and a Town Board member if the voting goes that way.
I don't see how that's a conflict.
We already have a town and village clerk in one person, which I think is a problem.

To the posters obsessed with organ donations---
What the current Village infants need is a good set of balls. It is time to be weaned off Counselor Golden's teats.

Anonymous said...

Why is it 100% ok for Burke, Queenan and the rest of the Town board to defer to/refer to/or ask Liberth for guidance, but it's apparently NOT ok for the Village board to consult and lean on their attorney?

You would think that you morons posting on this site would want sound legal advice for the newly formed board, but then again, you are MORONS with AXES TO GRIND, so I guess it should be expected.

In your perfect worlds, you'd probably forego legal advice altogether and rule the Village and Town right into the ground. Hey, is that why you're running for office???

Anonymous said...

The town board may ask for guidance but do they always abide by it or do they proceed according to their own judgement?? That's the problem with the village. Golden speaks and the lemmings follow.

Anonymous said...

Name an instance, please, that the Town Board has disregarded legal advice from their attorney???

You admit in one breath that the Village and it's board is still in it's infancy, and probably will be for many years to come, but then out of the other side of your mouth you cry foul for them depending heavily on their attorney. What gives? You obviously can't have it both ways, so if choosing to act based on sound legal advice is what you're saying is wrong, then I certainly hope you NEVER make it to office, or perhaps stay in the seat that you might currently hold!?!?!?

Anonymous said...

To the poster who doesn't see the conflict with Queenan on both boards- ARE YOU CRAZY?? Not only is he currently making decisions in favor of Brodsky's WP3, but if he was Mayor, he'd be able to vote directly on zoning change issues before the Village!!! What was that phrase... "KA CHING"!!!!

Anonymous said...

Whats he runnig on? Last I knew he did't want a village. Who is Tom Flood?

Anonymous said...

maybe he and his team are runnng on the platform to do away with the village ????

Anonymous said...

Queenan works for Keller Williams,NOT Brodskys
sales department.
What decisions has he currently made in Brodskys favor?

Anonymous said...

Mike Q. pushed through 481 homes instead of 150 homes across from the HS. Talk about helping to increase taxes!!! Just wait and see the IMPACT those homes will have on Woodbury's Taxes. It will speak for itself. Mike Q is not a Public Servant. He all about "whats in it for me". Who is Tom Flood? And does he know who Mike Q. really is. Whats his platform?

Anonymous said...

Doing away with the Village sounds good to me! He's got my vote!

Anonymous said...

Well since he's got YOUR vote, are you also GIVING your home to KJ???

Anonymous said...

The Town has had trouble with Brodsky at every turn, with everything he's built in Woodbury. So, when he built a retaining wall on land that belonged to the Town, instead of making him rip it down like the rest of us residents would have had to do, Mr. Queenan says they should "work with Brodsky", and ultimately the rest of the Town Board agreed. THAT is why Brodsky and other developers continually get away with things, because NO ONE wants to keep them honest and force them to stick with their agreements! And now, Mr. Queenan, a realtor, wants to be Mayor and have a vote over future zoning changes. Frankly, that is much like putting the fox in charge of the hen house, and he will never get my vote for Mayor, nor for Town board member in November, should he be so arrogant as to try to possibly hold two positions!

Anonymous said...

Well since he's got YOUR vote, are you also GIVING your home to KJ???

Why what will the village do to stop KJ? Are we once again going to scare everyone in to thinking this stupid villge stops them?

Anonymous said...

If the Village of Woodbury were dissolved, the "new" Village of KJ II could be created, as there are at least 500 KJ property owners within the Town of Woodbury currently who could petition for it. And once that were to happen, do you think YOUR home would be worth anything to a non-hasidic buyer?

Do yourself a favor before you start thinking that we'd be better off without the Village of Woodbury, and look into how many properties in Woodbury are now owned by the hasidim. Just why do you think they would want to purchase property outside of KJ and not directly adjacent to their own borders???

Anonymous said...

KJ wants to keep things centralized and under one power structure. There will never be a KJ II. As to buying property that are not adjacent to their borders. Thats for the future annexation. They will buy any property and all the properties in between. They will buy everything because they see years down the road and ways to make their village even bigger. In the end our little village will do nothing to stop them.

Also Ok lets say your right and this village of ours stops a KJ II, whats to stop them (KJ property owners) from suing our village to force changes in our zoning laws. Look at the lawsuit against South Blooming Grove. If KJ wants what it wants they will sue sue sue away to get it, I dont care how many villages are formed.

We need our elected office holders like Ralphie's boss Bill Larkin to stop sucking up to these people and giving them what they want. KJ needs to learn they are one of many communities in this county and not the only one.

Anonymous said...

Last poster sounds like Swiller to me !!

Anonymous said...

Nope, not me.
While I agree with some of the poster's points such as the view that Bill Larkin is an enabler of the leaders of KJ, I disagree about the view that Woodbury will do nothing to stop annexation.
There is a great deal that we can do as long as the people in office here are willing to react strongly, intelligently and in Woodbury's best interest.
My worry is that if Ralph Caruso and people who follow his orders take over here then that won't happen.

Anonymous said...

We already know where the Community party stands Mr. Swiller- what's up with Mr. Queenan and his running mates? There has been alot of speculation and innuendo as to why a sitting Town Board member, who backed the Community Party in the past is now running for Mayor. What is his motiviation to do this? Dissolve the Village?? Dissolve the Town? A Ralph Caruso wannabe as far as power and control? You seem to be close to that camp, what gives? Please enlighten us. Thanks.

Anonymous said...

Maybe Queenan simply feels the village government is not looking out for the best interests of the residents of Woodbury.

Anonymous said...

Every singal person that visits this site would sell thier home to anyone from KJ in one minute if the price was right, so stop the bullsh-t!

Anonymous said...

You should ask Mike Queenan, not me.

To that end, and to ask all the candidates any questions that we all have I'm trying to arrange a debate of the three slates.

First I have to find an impartial moderator acceptable to all three groups. I have a call in to the League of Women Voters.

The moderator would be responsible for the format and for choosing the questions to ask.

The first Tuesday in March (March Third) would probably be the best date.

I am hopeful that this time we can have all candidates at the debate.

Anonymous said...

Get a life Swiller!

Anonymous said...

Impartial my ass Swiller. You are ttotally biased.

Anonymous said...

If the price was right I would sell my home to anyone. But I would not hold meetings trying to sway people to change zoning when I knew I was getting out of DODGE!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Certainly I'm biased.

That's why it's necessary for someone else to choose the format and the questions.

I'm willing to pull the debate together: find a venue, find a moderator, etc. But I shouldn't have anything to do with the content and I won't.

If someone else had stepped forward and tried to put these debates together, I wouldn't. But no one has. If anyone is willing to help, send me an email jswiller@optonline.net.

Anonymous said...

If there is an issue with some that Swiller will not be inpartial and to ensure that all parties will come together in a debate this time, why not have all three parties desginate a volunteer to work with Swiller in organizing the debate. Therefore, all three sides are part of the process and everyone can be assured that all interests are represented.
