Sorry, a brief sojourn to Maryland turned out slightly less brief than planned.
Tonight (Tuesday) the new members of the village board have their first meeting. Village Hall, 7:30 PM. This is to be their last meeting there. After tonight they move the show to town hall, which has the video equipment.

Unlikely she can beat Eddie. Needs to surround herself with well-informed people, but rumor has it Manny is currently one of them!
If she sheds herself of Mnanny she has ca chance. Don't forget she has alot of contacts on the county and state level!!! Her husband was high up in the democratic political machine and I hope she wins!!!!!
Manny and his "people" could definitely hurt her!
manny is a piece of cr-p, he is nothing and
everyone should avoid him!
On to even more important issues for Woodbury...
Kiryas Joel changes pipeline route plan
7-year study now recommends Route 32

KIRYAS JOEL — Kiryas Joel now plans to build its proposed pipeline to the Catskill Aqueduct through Woodbury along County Route 44 and State Route 32 rather than tunnel through Blooming Grove, according to the most recent papers filed for the controversial water project.
The village, which studied three possible routes and favored the Blooming Grove path for much of its planning, declared Route 32 its preferred option instead in a recent statement summarizing the findings of a seven-year-long environmental review.
Even though that was the direction officials first envisioned when plans began in 2000, and one that Kiryas Joel Administrator Gedalye Szegedin told the Times Herald-Record in 2007 that the village was reconsidering, the switch to Route 32 was an unpleasant surprise for Woodbury Supervisor John Burke.
"They switched in the middle of the ballgame," Burke said.
Burke said he's worried about the disruption of traffic on Routes 32 and 44 during construction of the pipeline, which would stretch more than 12 miles from Kiryas Joel to where New York City's massive water tunnel passes through New Windsor.
"We're going to express our displeasure in any way we can, to the state and to the county," he said.
Going through Woodbury would be better because it involves fewer county roads, less potential wetlands encroachment and fewer "archaeologically sensitive" areas, Kiryas Joel's consultants said in a findings statement, approved by village trustees on March 31.
But they fail to mention the advantage Szegedin cited in 2007: By following Route 32, the pipeline could tap an abandoned water system that Kiryas Joel obtained in Cornwall, thereby expanding the village's water reserves.
That water system, which once served the STAR Expansion factory and neighboring homes, is important to Kiryas Joel because all upstate communities that tap the city's aqueducts must keep an equal backup supply in case the tunnels are ever shut for repairs.
NOW WHAT??? Woodbury Chamber of Commerce members worried about their businesses surviving the ongoing Rte 32 DOT construction over the last few months- what's gonna happen if this goes through? Burke was quoted- what about Queenan? Are the Town & Village going to fight this thing together?
John Burke has no clue! What an idiot! he should not be surprised, he was given notice that this would happen and he did nothing!
Sounds like what he did with the Water Towers too!
From the Photo News:
Capriglione also asked when and if Queenan would be resigning from the Woodbury Town Board.
He said he has submitted a letter of resignation effective April 30.

Any idea who the board is going to choose to fill the vacant seat?
They should choose Sandy because even though she lost she would be good. But they won't even though she is a Dem because she has had the courage to stand up to John, Manny and the rest and they don't like uppity women.
and even if you did not agree with her at the village board meeting, it took courage to stand up in a room full of people that could have been against her, to say what she said.
Sandy, just chill out a little and you will have a political future.
I heard it was going to be James Skoufis, the Dem that already has the committee's blessing.
What about bill mulooly??????????
Oh God no!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey, hey, let's hold steady
and confer with our Uncle Betty,
do you see a fooly?
when they say Bill Mulloley,
or is it just more of Ralph's stink?
Since the Dems are backing Palermo, will he be the appointee?
James Skoufis has not lived in Woodbury for quite some time. So how can he be appointed to office?
Simple - so long as he is a resident and registered voter in Woodbury at the time of the appointment, he can be appointed.
From what I understand, James has been a longtime resident in Woodbury and was only out of town while at college.
And he is coming back suddenly to be on the town board? wow! that was easy, I guess anyone can do it.
To get Eddie and light up a fire
underneath his SUV tire
just dial up lady Pat
and say "thst's that!"
and give him a dose of O'Dwyer!!!!
