Ralph Was

Considering how much fun it has been to chat about Woodbury's own Gossip Girl, Ralph Caruso, the Uncle fears that that era may be coming to an end.

It appears that Ralph's sun is setting.

He hasn't won an election in decades, though not for lack of trying.

Not one of his Woodbury candidates has won in years.

His tenure as Chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeal is also ancient history.

His one-time playmates on the Democratic Committee are poised to give the nod to Frank Palermo for Town Councilman. This is a wet chatooie in Ralph's face. Suffice it to say that Ralph and Frank don't play well together.

And now, our esteemed State Senator, Uncle Billie Larkin himself, has decided that Ralph's services as a chauffeur are no longer required.

Ralph has been fired.

Gasp!

No longer will our pal be able to stand before us and introduce himself as "Ralph Caruso, Aide to Senator Larkin."

O, how the mighty have fallen and the grape made low.

When are the Republican endorsements for the town election?

Anonymous said...

Anyone here of any Republican candidates for any offices. Anyone not running for reelection this year?

Anonymous said...

I believe Gerri has chosen not to run for reelection.

She stood at the podium
our Rump Roast ala Carte,
We heard some squeaking noises
we thought it was a fart,
But Rump Roast was there
because Ralph told her to do it,
We are glad control was held
by Chairman George Sewitt!
Don bounce up yet again
and did his yelling act,
Both he and the Rump Roast
are not hindered by fact.
And then there was Ralph
Who droned on and on,
Trying to convince everyone
of his great con!
He wants to throw a man
out of his house,
but without larkin
He really is a little mouse!
The threats and intimidation
we will not stand for anymore,
Hey Ralph and gang members
here's the door!!!
time for you to go
to Florida State,
and there you can start
a new campaign of hate!!!

Hey why does the Town want the sewer & water department back? If the whole idea is to go coterminous, then why bother? Are the Town and Village on the same page with this whole coterminous project?

Anonymous said...

Forget coterminous, it is time to circulate petitions to undo this stupid Village. The extra taxes are not worth it.

Can anyone answer this question:

Do you think KJ is really going to need to have an attorney when they have Burke, Queenan and Caruso making Woodbury the biggest joke in NYS?

Anonymous said...

WHO SAID THAT THE TOWN WANTS THE WATER AND SEWER BACK?????

Anonymous said...

If you're mad enough about your job to scream. maybe it's time to quit, it was an opportunity missed, no matter what the problem is, we can handle it and all and all it was more pragmatic, people are so sensitive.

Why does the Town Board want to take back the Water and Sewer Department?

Go to the next Town Board meeting and ask them.

Anonymous said...

Does the Village have a say, or is the Town taking it upon themselves as a power grab???

Anonymous said...

I watched some of the planning board on channel 22. Ralph looked really old and used up. He looked like he had the smell of death on him.

Anonymous said...

I thought the Town & Village had to request special legislation jointly?

Anonymous said...

Water/Sewer and the Fire Department moved by law to the Village on January 1, 2008. NYS Assembly bill #AO2698 being introduced by Nancy Calhoun makes it seem like this change never took place. It wants to keep everything with the Town as it was on December 31, 2008.
It was with the Village for a year on December 31, 2008.

Here are the possibilities:
The Town and possibly the new Village Board are trying to put something over on Calhoun.
Calhoun doesn't understand what is going on.
Calhoun is trying to put something over on the rest of the members of the NYS Assembly.

All of the above!

Since you have so much info and an actual bill# it leads me to believe you are either a village board member or a town board member.

Now lets rule out the ones that are friends to Nancy Calhoun. That is Gerri and Mike Q.

O.K. Now lets rule out the ones that want the legislation to pass.
John,Carlton, Bo. Well that eliminates the whole town board...

O.K. That leaves either Neil or Rich. I don't think Rich would know the assembly bill number.
So Neil or Robin what are you trying to get at?

Nancy is amoung friends in Woodbury.

The information is common knowledge and if you know how to use the internet you can find any bill introduced by any State or Federal Senator, Congressperson or Assembly Member you want.

While the poet you try to discern,
the thing that you really should learn,
is the the poet teaches,
to know the good from the leaches,
and which way the kingdom will burn!

What difference does that make?? Why not answer the question he/she/it posed? Seems like a reasonable question, so why not just answer it since YOU seem to be so much "in the know"??

Anonymous said...

Uncle Moshe, where are you? Strighten these people out.

Anonymous said...

I heard that Robin and Neil are going to move to Florida near the parents.

Anonymous said...

Firstly of course it's Robin or Neil nobody else would give enough shits to look up the actual bill #.
Most of us have some kind of life to live.

Secondly the post was so ridiculous it only deserved the answer I gave. Talk about paranoia!

Anonymous said...

The answer you gave was pure bullshit. Why does the Town want those departments back, especially when the newly elected mayor and Trustees are promoting going coterminous? Doesn't make sense to do this now. and the way it's worded does seem odd as well.

Also, as another poster questioned, is the request coming only from the Town, and if so, doesn't the Village have a say? The suggestion that it is a "power grab" seems reasonable.

Finally, why does it ever matter who is asking the questions? In your warped mind, if it was Queenan or Burke or Hunter asking the questions, then it would be ok, right? You're the one that needs to jump down off your high and mighty, self-righteous pedestal and realize that there are always at least two sides to every situation.

When is Queenan resigning from the TB?

Anonymous said...

Robin's moving but she wants to close the pond first.

Anonymous said...

Shes already succeeded. The Pond will NOT open this year. Thanks Robin.

Anonymous said...

Grow up. In this economy, the TB should be more worried about residents being able to hold onto their homes than pumping money into something that they don't even know will work. Thank God for people like Robin Crouse and John Smith who take active roles rather than allowing a few select people to waste money without taxpayers having a say. All they did was exercise a right that we all have by virtue of living in a free country. Now we all get to have a say instead of a select few. What's so damn wrong with that? Mr Burke and his frineds from the Democratic and Republican parties continually exercise their rights with the frivolous Article 78's they submit when their unhappy, but don't seem to like it when the shoe is on the other foot. Hey, what's good for the goose is good for the gander. The people will speak on 5/5, and then we'll all have to live with the outcome.

BTW, had the TB listened to the voices that asked for a referendum back in 11/08, NO time would have been lost if they had put the referendum up immediately. But, they dug in their heels, and decided to move forward regardless of the plummeting economy. Their arrogance and indifference to the residents is sickening, so I for one am glad that Burke is being reminded of his own words about "open, participatory government".

You are truly delusional about the Robin and John.
Now we have to pay for another vote. The outcome of which will be, fix the pond. Which would have gotten done anyway.

Anonymous said...

I think Ralph has some time on his hands. Maybe he can fix it.

Anonymous said...

How's the walk?

Anonymous said...

If Robin & Neil go to Florida can they take Sheilia with them

Anonymous said...

My, my aren't we confident.

Anonymous said...

Robin and Neil are NOT going to Florida and they are dedicated volunteers who care about their community. And they actually DO something instead of just post on this website.

Anonymous said...

Like what?

Anonymous said...

This site reminds me of a quote from the movie "Matilda"-
"I'm right, you're wrong,
I'm smart, you're dumb,
I'm big, you're little,
And there's nothing you can do about it!"

The same nonsense over and over again-as old as time.

There will ALWAYS be differences of opinion, and there will ALWAYS be people who get involved because they truly care, and those who are in it for their own self-serving agendas. There will ALWAYS be those who are honest and play by the rules striving to help make our community better, and then those who will ALWAYS feel they are above the rules,do what they want regardless of what it does to the community.

Robin -- Please your ego stroking comments are so transparent. Just admit you screwed up by getting on board with Smith's delusional endeavor. Which are you; Don Quixote or Pancho...or is it the ass?

Anonymous said...

As usual you're 100% wrong as to the poster. Now who's delusional??Just can't believe that others believe voters should be given a chance to express their feelings?? Your asinine postings blaming Robin and/or John just goes to show how desperate you guys are feeling that the $1.4 million just might go down to defeat. Ha,ha,ha,ha...

I second that- we lived without "The Pond" last year, why rush it. I heard there is NO guarantee that this plan is going to work. So what then if it doesn't?

Anonymous said...

Who cares about the pond? When we formed the village why didn't we form the village of Central Valley and the village of Highland Mills. That way those people in CV that want the pond would pay for it.

DUH!
WTF?
