Thank God, no matter what dangers we face, no matter what crisis is upon us, we can always be counted upon to forget the danger and devote ourselves fully to attacking each other.
Read the postings on this blog and take pride in our unending ability to screw one another into the ground.

While some of what is on this site can at times be humorous, I really hope, as an undecided voter in this village election, that for one night, we can be civil and serious and that all three teams will come to the debate on March 3rd with real solutions and answers to Woodbury's needs and issues.
One can only hope Jim.
I thought there was already a debate planned. Why is Swiller involved in another one??
Swiller IS the one who planned the CV Elem school debate.
My problem is, WILL MIKE QUEENAN ADMIT he was BLACK MAILED!!! Their can never be open & honest discussions because of back door fears. The TOWN board back then PROMOTED back door / side door BLACKMAIL. The only TRUE SOLUTION was to stand by 1988 MASTER plan PLAN!!!!!!!!!
Woodbury....open and honest? forget it bub, the whole place is about backdoors, backstabbing, back room favors, sidedoors, who you know, good ole boys, lying, spying and bullshit!
Where have you been? Isn't that true of ALL politics???
Yes Ralph, freeze Woodbury in 1988 and let the rest of the world pass us by, and just hope they pass us by and not run us over!
1988 is only 21 years ago. A Master Plan should be able to survive that long. Change for change sake is not good. The village has already spent 200,000 on a new plan that still isn;'t approved. Do the people get to vote on it?
A true Ralph statement. Add the
0's until you scare people. The true cost is about $20,000 not Ralph's $200,000. Just like the taxes the Preservation Party promised. Check your history who do you think did the budget for Ralph's original village - right Mike Queenan!
fuzzy math!!
Ralph and Mike Q. just never included the Fire Department and Water and Sewer in their village taxes. They either didn't understand the law or thought they were above the law and didn't need to follow it.
The Math is not fuzzy. Shelia paid a Law Firm from Albany over 176,000 dollars. And that does not include the local "experts". Just ask Robin she sat on the committee. Sheila was suppose to have "Round Tables discussions" from the public but like everything else she said she was FULL OF BOLONGY>
Aw, gee whiz!
You folks can't complain about nit-picking on typos and then serve up a giant softball like "BOLONGY."
It's just not fair.
Can I get that on a sandwhich or is it sandwich?
No correction on "THE NUMBERS" That FULL OF SHI... BALONEY tree hugger Sheila continues to DESTROY our TOWN/VILLAGE.
I've warned you before. Don't forget to take your meds.
I guess picking on Sheila is the solution.
I for one would like to move into the 21st century and see the village pass the new comp plan that our good former supervisor started.
The problem is the village board can't seem to get out of each others way to pass anything.
From what I understand it was completed in July. Shame on the village board for sitting on it for so long.
Yes, the Village should rush the comp plan........didn't read the newspaper about Montgomery paying over half a million dollars brought forth by a lawsuit because of their comp plan, did ya?
Don't worry- with Queenan at the helm, he'll be rushing us right into several major lawsuits- but that's ok, the developers will bail him out!
"Yes, the Village should rush the comp plan...."
over two years is "rushing"?
You must be a slow learner.
I agree. The Comp plan was started well over two years ago. By the time the village board received it they just needed to make some minor changes.
The committee gave it to the village board in JULY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please give us a break. don't make excuses for incompetence
What is the process? How long should it have taken the village board to finish this once the committee gave it to them this past July?
Well they should have at least had it on there agenda to discuss on several occasions.
Nobody's saying they should put it before them and pass it.
However if they were able to continue to discuss it and make changes as an ongoing process it would have been passed by the end of the year or sooner.
I still don't know what the process is and how long it should take. The only thing I heard was the committee who was charged to take the document and work with it started in July 2007. It took them a year before thay gave it to the village. Was this a totally finished document when the village got it or did more need to be done?
Haste makes waste...or at least in Woodbury's case, makes for a damn good lawsuit from our "neighbors"!!
