A number of Woodburians were scandalized by the Speedo wearing nephew we asked to hold the blank sign in the previous post (the speedos were hidden by the sign).
So we brought him back into our studio, dressed him up and took this shot.
Sorry, we didn't have any shoes his size on hands. We apologize to any toe haters out there.

As I've said all along, Manny & the Dems have cut another deal with Ralph and the Reps, and since Ralph is basically running the Woodbury Conservatives through George Pedersen, why wouldn't you expect the Conservatives to endorse John & Bo?? One big happy family now that the Dems and Reps are comfy in bed together, with the Conservatives playing the role of lapdogs. Ralph appears to be firmly in control, as always, and for those of us who are even mildly alarmed by the choices we HAVEN'T been given, we better keep an eye on Mike A as well- he has a history with Ralph and may be easily persuaded back into the lair.
Come on Lorraine, we're waiting on you...how about a run at Supervisor???
McNeil has no chance and both parties know it, she has pissed so many people on that radio show of hers its now pay back time. Tell her to go speak with the bossman and maybe he can help her.

You're saying the voters at large should back either "Clueless" Bo or "Blank Slate" Carlton in office? Give me a break. Whether she's personally pissed you off or not, she is definitely head and shoulders above those two. Bo has proven time and again that he has no business being in politics and Carlton, well, where does he stand on anything? Does he really even exist?
I am sure they have but not on a talk show week after week. Every week she is going after Billy boy and Eddie, payback has been given!
Lorraine doesn't need any organized party in Woodbury to win. The Republicans, Democrats and Conservatives in their given committees are all one and the same anyway- for the most part, a bunch of brainless followers of the Big Ego, Ralph Caruso. All Lorraine needs to do is walk door to door and tell people what she's about, and she'll probably garnish more votes than the other three put together.

Orange, Ulster counties not included in land preservation bill

Albany - A last-minute push to tuck Orange and Ulster counties into a land-preservation bill advanced to the 1-yard line before getting flattened by the state Senate defensive line.
In the waning hours of the state Legislature session Thursday, both houses passed a bill making it easier for towns and cities in two other Hudson Valley counties – Westchester and Putnam – to tax property sales and use the funds to buy lands for open space.
The Assembly also passed amendments extending the same right to Orange and Ulster, as county lawmakers had asked. But since the amendments lacked support from state Sens. John Bonacic, R-C-Mount Hope, and William (Uncle Bill)Larkin Jr., R-C-Cornwall-on-Hudson, the amendments stalled in the Senate.
Bonacic has said he wants residents of both counties to weigh in on the proposal before reconsidering it.
The bill would let voters in each town approve a real estate transfer tax without having to go to the state Legislature for permission. The tax would be 2 percent or less. For home sales, the tax would apply only to the amount above a municipality’s median sale price.

I've already pointed out that she worked closely with SOCA At Work/OCEAN to get the only petition filed to annex part of Highland Mills into KJ dropped.
That's not inconsequential.

Reading this blog, it seems like others besides as Ralph and Don are pissed off at Lorraine because of the Ethics Law.
Ralph could not be chairman of both the ZBA and the Republican committee because of the Ethics Law.
Who else was affected, I wonder?

That's right- we should all BULLET vote for Lorraine (a strategy where the voter only selects ONE candidate, despite having the option to indicate some preference for other candidates)! That would really give you morons a reason to be PISSED OFF, now wouldn't it!!! I think we should start that campaign- are you listening Lorraine! Tee shirts and everything!
Lorraine co-hosts Jerry Boss' Tuesday morning radio show on WTBQ.
It's a low powered station in Florida NY and rarely reaches Woodbury, although it can be listened to on-line.
The signal does reach Goshen, and so the show can be heard by Eddie Diana and Bill DiProspo.
Diana and DiProspo are the among the most frequent targets of the show.
This probably doesn't help Lorraine's standing with the big-wigs of the County Republican Party
To the question, "anything in 2006/2007?" regarding Lorraine's accomplishments -
She along with Pete Stabile spearheaded getting a grant from the State for Pre-Disaster Mitigation to identify,plan, and implement improvements in such areas as flooding, bridge repair, stormwater management, etc. as a proactive measure before a disaster happens. She continues to Chair this committee. Lorraine also keeps involved with such environmental issues as the salt shed at Woodbury Common, Moodna Watershed Committee, and recently attended a meeting with the DEC regarding the sampling/status of Woodbury Creek.
WHOA! Hold on, did someone say that Lorraine McNeil helped to stop a KJ annexation? Seems like thats a good enough reason to keep her around. As a matter of fact, I don't care if she does anything else, that's good enough for me.

RE: the low voltage radio show. Sounds as if Lorraine will soon set her sights higher. Maybe she plans for a run for the County Legislature. Rumor has it that Roxanne Donnery won't run again.

Lorraine McNeill along with Ocean set up a meeting to help people file their grievances to the town regarding their unfair property tax increase.
I was one of those people who was caught in that situation. She along with others helped me fill out my forms without having to hire a lawyer(which saved me alot of money) and I had my assessment reduced by both the town board of assessment review and the county board of assessment review.
Thank you Lorraine for all your hard work and caring. You have MY vote along with all the other people you took the time to help with this matter.
I was at that meeting and many others helped to run that meeting. From what I remember she would not answer any questions about what the town board would do to help.
