The slates for the Woodbury Village Board are taking shape. Pending sufficient petition signatures, three mayoral candidates have been announced as well as eight trustee candidates. There may be others.
Some of these people are well known, some are not.
Who are these people?
Where do they stand on the issues?
How do they intend to accomplish their goals?
OCEAN invites all candidates who will be on the ballot to a question and answer session.
We invite the public to come and ask those questions.
The date and time will be worked out with those candidates who agree to come.
The place will be announced once we have a date.
The candidates owe it to the people of Woodbury to answer all their questions.
The people of Woodbury owe it to themselves to know as much as possible about the candidates.

At first I really thought Ralph was looking out for the town and might have changed his ways. After living here over thirty years we have seen many things but now he running for mayor is the biggest ego move of all time. Can one be so driven to win an election and power hungry as he is? We all know if he wins he will become a dictator and do what he things is best for “us”. Over the last ten years every Republican that’s has gotten elected has stopped speaking with him such as John K, Harry, Sheila, Gerri, Holly, Colleen, Mike A, Mike Q. and Pete. Need I say more…..
What doesn't Ralph understand about the word NO??? We rejected him as our county legislator TWICE, and now what's he thinking...that we did that in order to elect him as MAYOR??? I have lived here since 23 years, and from experience will tell you that Ralph Caruso will stop at NOTHING to get HIS way. He will lie, cheat, back-stab, break the law, etc in the name of RALPH CARUSO and HIS agenda. He conncocted stories about Dobson, Gianzero, Conroy, Donnery, Queenan, etc, and the list goes on and on. He is without a conscience, and will go to any means to meet HIS end result. His hand-picked slate of co-officers obviously feeds into his way of thinking, so I hope the voters really think twice before electing this slate, especially Ralph Caruso.
Hello all - this is my first post here at Meet Uncle Betty. I guess I should first introduce myself as James Skoufis, the campaign manager of Donna Colombo's candidacy to become mayor of the new village.
I've spoken with Donna about the OCEAN invitation and she looks forward to attending. We learned of the two other candidates yesterday through the Photo News (although we long-speculated that Ralph Caruso would run) and we look forward to running a positive race against them.

I thought of something amazing today...isn’t is something that Ralph Caruso can make tons of veiled anti-KJ statements or scare everyone in this town about KJ....but yet KJ NEVER attacks him or calls him anti-semetic like anyone else that works against KJ gets called. Isn’t it something how his boss (Larkin) who doles out thousands upon thousands of dollars to his buddies in KJ never threatens to fire his staffer (Mr. Caruso) when all of his rhetoric could potentially cause his boss (Larkin) problems with KJ.

I BELIEVE YOU'RE ONTO SOMETHING WATSON!!! THIS WOULD BE SOMETHING VERY INTERESTING TO ASK GEDALYE SZEGEDIN HIMSELF. RALPH GOT UP AT THE COUNTY MEETING AND CONDEMNED THE WATER TOWERS, AND THEY DIDN'T SAY BOO TO HIM. I WONDER WHAT BOB LAWRENCE'S VIEW OF RALPH IS ALSO?? can someone answer me? Is is true? Is John Burke's daughter, Adrienne running with Ralph Caruso. I can not imagine something so twisted. If you can't see the writing on the wall. Here you have John Burke as town supervisor. Possibly, Ralph, the dictator,Caruso getting elected to mayor along with john burke's daughter adrieene as his running mate for the village trustee. All working together with john burke. imagine concentrating all the power in john burkes' house. plese someone, help this community, please.

An "open invitation" by OCEAN. That translates to a grilling to anybody NOT with their wishes. To all viable candidates- STAY AWAY. It'll only do you harm.
I certainly hope that there will be tough questioning, of ALL the candidates. But it won't be OCEAN asking the questions.
We want the public to ask all the questions that they have and we want them to demand answers.
Are you saying that Mr. Caruso and his ticket of candidates will only answer the "RIGHT" questions from the "Right" audience? Hey, if I'm taking the time to attend a meet and question the candidates night, then I want ALL candidates to answer ALL of my questions. Mr. Caruso seems to be quite savvy when it comes to "stacking" the audience when he's part of the audience...let's see how well he does in an actual OPEN forum, when he's the one having to answer the tough questions. Or perhaps Mr. Caruso feels this is his god given right to be mayor, and he doesn't have to answer any questions. Only time will tell.

You're right, we good folks don't need Swiller to tell us how to vote. Ralph has given us enough reason to reject him again, just like before. You idiots that think the Village vote was some kind of mandate for Ralph Caruso are even stupider than Ralph!
