What could be nicer on a cold winter day than an electronic missive from a favorite nephew.
This just popped into the Uncle's mailbox and I couldn't wait to share:
Dear Uncle,
Last month I met with Carlton Levine. I got the impression that his view of Woodbury was based entirely on what was spoon-fed to him by the Burke Caruso posse and I told him that it was in his and the Town’s interest for him to hear as many different points of view as possible. He agreed.
I listed a number of people "on the other side" that he might speak with - Gerri Gianzero, Sheila Conroy, George Sewitt, Sandy Capriglione, Robin Crouse, Jim Booth and members of the Village Board. He said that he would reach out to them.
He never did.
I just called him now and he said "I have no interest in speaking to you." Then he hung up.
If that is what his tenure on the Town Board will be like - "I know what I’ve been told and I don’t want to know anything else" - we are all in for a truly lousy two years.
So much for Burke’s mantra "Open Government."

Based on our conversation last month (and a talk with a mutual friend who knows him from New Jersey) I had hoped that while Levine remained defensive about the election, he would think about things, reach out to people beyond Burke's group and open his eyes.
I was wrong. Apparently he isn't an unwitting part of this, but is really as corrupt and dishonest as the rest of the pack that he runs with.
To these people, lying is no problem; corrupt elections are no problem. For them getting into power is all that matters.
They're obviously going to pull the same garbage when the Village elections come up.
Hey johnny boy. According to what you wrote, Levine said he wouldn't toalk to YOU. Nothing about the others. Can't say I blame him. He probably wants to get honest views and ones so slanted that you could steel with.

As I wrote, Levine said over a month ago that he would be reaching out to those people. Since then he hasn't spoken to any of them.
Considering that we are a week away from Christmas Eve, it's not very likely that any in-depth conversations are going to be taking place any time this month.
That suggests that he will be taking office knowing nothing about this town other than the dishonest and distorted views of his cronies.
