Most of the recent postings have consisted of calling someone or other an idiot, a liar, a bitch, a shithead or even something nasty.
While this elevated discussion is certainly valuable, just for a change of pace, does anyone have something positive to say about any of the candidates? And no, I don't mean "I'm POSITIVE that so and so is an idiot, a liar, a bitch and a shithead."
So, this lonesome thread will be kept free of vituperation and open to arguments favoring your candidate of choice.
Why should we vote FOR someone?
What makes me think that this will be a very quiet part of town?

I went to the debate. I liked Fred L.'s coolness, Stephanie's jacket, Sandy's new shoes, Ben's deep voice, George's sense of humor, Fred U.'s spin on things, Tim's public speaking skills, Mike's NY accent, and Tom's relaxed demeanor.
The ladies were awesome!
Actually it is nice to think that we have a choice. Fred Lindlaw is intelligent and so is Sandy. Tom Flood seems really together and Tim Egan has a great background. Ben, George and Fred U are very behind the times. Mike Q has alot of common sense (Is that why they named it the Common Sense Party? hahaha) and has been good on the town board.
I will definitely not vote for the Preservationist team and while Sandy and Fred L would be good candidates, I think overall that I am going to vote for Mike Tom and Tim. I like their attitude. And I know that when it comes to all things KJ they will stand up for us!
I thought the point that Sandy was making was important though. If Mike was the one who spoke about the proposed Village budget, and then changed his mind, that's fine. But now he seems to be pushing going coterminous but hasn't given us any of the figures. I myself have been looking up the information since I first read their website, and everything that I have been able to find says that a cost analysis should be completed before going coterminous, since it may actually cost us more money. So, I think she made a very important point.
I like the fact that the Common Sense Party is being questioned about their platform. Shows people are REALLY thinking and not taking anything for granted.
It is OK to question, but it would be nice if someone paid attention to the answers.
That's IF you can get the answers!
