The Uncle Fesses Up

It's confession time folks. It's time that you knew the sad truth about Uncle Betty.

The Uncle is physically incapable of lying.

This is a rare condition called, ortholalia. It is due to the underdevelopment of the part of the brain, the Islets of Caruso, which allow a healthy human being to fib, mislead, prevaricate and fudge the facts. All normal, fun activities, denied to the Uncle.

Some doctors theorize that the stunting of the Islets of Caruso is due to excessive intake of hot chocolate by the expectant mother- Fetal Ovaltine Syndrome.

Be that as it may, the result is a damaged human, one who is unfit for many lucrative careers - law, politics, journalism.

I am letting you know this about the Uncle because I have absolutely, totally, completely nothing to hide (other than my identity).

That's comforting. So Uncle, we're probably within 8 weeks of a new Village government...and no one has really jum[ed out as a candidate. Of coure Ralph probably has his slate of candidates all ready to go, but are you will to speculate what fine folks in Woodbury will be throwing in their hats? Do you think people are waiting to see what Ralph has come up with? I hope it's not more of the same. Personally, I'd like to see some new people with different ideas and no loyalty to anyone. Is that possible?

Gee Unk,

Sorry about your condition...Have you thought of suicide to correct this??

Finally, something that makes sense. It's time to give government back to ordinary people, with no political ties, agendas or favors to pay back. Let's give normal citizens the reins for a change. Maybe then they will do what is really in the best interests of the taxpayers and fellow residents.

Did anyone hear about Donna Columbo wanting to run for mayor! She teaches dance to children mainly. My daughter took lessons from her and I will tell you that she never stops talking. She loves the sound of her own voice, but she is not interested in what you have to say. She is also very bitter towards the town because she was denied a zoning variance for a dance studio she wanted to open in Central Valley. I remember her going on and on about that!
She is NOT the type of person I would vote for. She has an axe to grind. We need good people with no personal vandetta against the town or other people.

I think one of the Mikes should run for Mayor. Both of them would stop RC and Bob from running this town. Mike A showed he will do what is right for Woodbury and Mike Q always puts the Town first.

I vote for Mike A. he has cut the purse strings and speaks his mind. i wouldn't vote for mike q if he was the last fish left in the bowl. he started the village and then pulled out of the village and now he wants back in. what's wrong with this picture. hello, i want my icecream, no I don't want my icecream, boo hoo can I have my icecream. leave mike q exactly where he is. also, have you ever heard of donna columba before. i am all for people who are non political but i have to wonder about a person who hasn't ever attended any kind of meeting or even showed up at a school board meeting and decides that she can be mayor. i believe she was a rockette in nyc. now while i don't doubt that she has great legs, it's whats upstairs that counts. we know she can dance, but can she count?

What abour Gerri? I think she would be the perfect choice. Not only does she have the experience that the Mike's don't have, but she is also hard working. If anyone on the town board is thinking about running for the village board, only Gerri can win because she is the most respected and liked out of the board members.

I would vote for Mike A for mayor and Gerri for a board seat. They would make a grand team and bring a sweep on any ticket. We all have grown to like Mike over the years and he knows the finances of the town extremely well in addition has shown to be a stand up gentleman. Gerri would be great because of her experience and leadership ability to get projects completed. We can’t have the Toad or Ralph gain any seat on the new board but if they do who better then Gerri & Mike who know all their dirty tricks!

Mike A for mayor? Are you kidding?, the king of flip flop, he rates right on up there with Ralphie Boy for having his own agenda. Please stop throwing around the same old tired names.

Mike Q. changed sides when he learned the truth about what becoming a village entailed. He was horrified when he realized we were only given "Half" the information, and started to enlighten as mamu people as possible in the short time just before the village vote. Mike Q. has values!!
