As promised, Swilly Boy sent me a bunch of pix. These two make clear who was present.

Who is the pregnant woman? Is that Carol M.
I find all this very disturbing! Why would someone who is about to give birth have the time to send out post cards with misleading information? I recieved that post card ( My husband is a registered Republican) and after reading it threw it in the trash where it belongs. As taxpayers we deserve better than a few individuals trying to bully our elected officials.

David Levinson is a good man, just not a good politican. He made sure that, after the death of Edward Kellman, only one candidate was named for the vacant seat. By law, the active political parties in Woodbury needed to nominate a candidate by a certain date in September in order for the name to appear on the November ballot. The Reps nominated David "my lips are on Ralph's shoes" Hasin and the Dems interviewed James Galvin. They did not nominate him though because David Levinson begged them not to. He did not want to have to campaign to keep his position. The Conservatives were going to nominate Bruce Schonberg (who dropped out once Ralph told him Hasin was getting the nod) and then decided to back Galvin once the Dems nominated him. Since they did not, there is no second candidate on the Con line. Levinson already had the Dem and Con line by walking petitions in June/July. So there you have the truth. What am I doing behind the cloth in November?? Write-in vote - James Galvin. Want to write him in and don't know how? Just ask one of the ladies that work the elections, they will show you!

Supports Donnery
I wish to express my solid support for Roxanne L. Donnery, 14th Legislative District for Orange County. Donnery is the incumbent seeking another term to represent this wide-ranging district, which includes Highland Falls and Woodbury. She lives in Highland Falls, which requires a lot of time and travel to meet with constituents so far apart. She also has to overcome the loss of one Woodbury election district, with a stronger Democratic enrollment, to Republican Sideman. She has represented the 14th District in the sales tax fight, and stood by homeowners threatened by block busters from the adjacent village.
Donnery is a full-time advocate worthy of your vote, regardless of your party label.

Now, since the Uncle desperately craves being liked, I will point out that I have had nothing, good or bad, to say about the local judgeships. Your beef is with Born and Raised.

As to not liking anyone who runs for office, not quite true. I am more than willing to point out the flaws (or far far worse) in the people who say they want to lead us.

But the Uncle is no absolutist. An honest, intelligent, capable human with a flaw or two is far preferable to a stinking, lying, vindictive, manipulative, humorless, craven, viscious, double-dealing, petty, treacherous pile of horse droppings in a seersucker suit.

It seems the photos that Uncle Betty is displaying on this blog took place after Thursday night's Town Board meeting. From what I understand this little caucus takes place after every board meeeting. The only person missing is Darlene (Bubbles) Revielle. I was told she left the Board meeting because Johnathon Swiller was disputing her lies and pointing out her selfish behavior. If she plans to sit on the Town Board then she needs to accept criticism. Or maybe she left because she was having yet another nervous breakdown. ( she and half the town knows what I mean.) At another Town Board meeting she was overheard telling the Supervisor that she doesn't care about the rest of the town, she only cares about her neighborhood! I can only imagine she must of been in an hysterical state which seems to be more often than not.Why would I support someone who only cares about the issues facing her neck of the woods? But better yet
the highlight of the evening was after Dancing Henry "Hank" Sullivan stood up to give his predicted political campaign speech the Town Board excluding Michael (I'm up Ralph's ass) Aronowitz shot him down and made him slither away. It's about time the ladies on the Board grew a set of balls. I remember a very heart felt speech Hank made over a year ago telling then candidate for Supervisor Charley Serra that politics belongs in the gutter and yet Hank has crawled in there with him! Well I guess it could happen to the best of Candidates, but that doesn't mean I have to support them. I can't wait to pop some popcorn take off my shoes and have a good laugh watching the Meeting on Channel 22.

Vote for ED

The last three years as Orange County Executive have been filled with many challenges and personally rewarding experiences. I have been given the honor of representing our residents in the highest office in Orange County and I take the responsibilities that come with this job very seriously.

I want to thank everyone who has put their confidence in me and supported my career in public office. Without your support, we would not be able to achieve the many goals we set out to accomplish. Together, we are preserving the great quality of life that we all have come to enjoy.

We have made much progress during the past three years. Our communities are safer, the economy is strong as ever, jobs are on the rise and we are making great strides when it comes to planning for the future of our County. Through the efforts of many people, our quality of life continues to be second to none.

Now is the time to make sure Orange County continues to head down the path to a bright future.

I recently announced that I am seeking a second term as your County Executive this November. I am doing this because Orange County is my home. I was born and raised here and I’m determined to make sure it continues to be the best place in the nation to live, work and raise a family.

Public safety, keeping our economy strong, keeping taxes under control and planning for the future of Orange County will continue to be my top priorities as County Executive.

Our E-911 Center now handles cellular calls, a measure proven to save lives. We’ve improved efficiencies and emergency response coordination by merging four County departments to create the new Department of Emergency Services. We now have a Sheriff’s Marine Patrol keeping the shores and waters of the Hudson safe. Furthermore, we are in the process of designing a new Emergency Services Facility to meet the growing public safety demands of the future.

We have consolidated County Government to improve efficiencies and increase productivity. Orange County still has one of the strongest bond ratings in the State of New York. Comprehensive Plans have been developed that balance the need for a strong economy with the need for maintaining the great characteristics like open space that we have long enjoyed.

We have taken steps to revitalize cities and villages, create new and better jobs for residents, fight crime among our youth and promote culture and the arts. We continue to upgrade infrastructure and enhance services to residents making government more user friendly.

The 21st century is here and Orange County is rising up to the new challenges that arise daily. There is much more to be done, and only through strong leadership can we accomplish our goals.

Once again, I thank you for your support and I look forward to speaking with you along the campaign trail.

Hey UB what do you think this guy?

In 1998 Michael Amo was appointed to the Orange County Legislature to represent the people of the 1st Legislative District (see map).

Dear Anonymous
Now there's a cathartic little posting. Feel better now?
The Uncle is getting more and more interested in seeing that broadcast, just as the little do was happening at Town Hall I was sitting on the tarmac at LaGuardia for what seemed like an hour (was probably closer to 15 minutes, but time is a subjective substance).

Dear Bob
If you like Roxy so much, how come you weren't going to introduce her and you cut her off while she was speaking. Is posting a comment on a blog as far as Ralphie will let you go?

Dear Ed,
Yes, Orange County needs a strong leader who will stand up to the special interests. Let me know if you come across one somewhere.

Dear Other Anonymous
I have no problem with not using your names but it would be a lot easier if you made something up, because to many anonymi make my head spin.

Amo is a truly nice guy doing real ugly crap to keep Szegedin happy. This differentiates him from Bill Larkin who is a ratfink son of a bitch doing real ugly crap to keep Szegedin happy.

P.S.

Is John Burp pregnant too?

And Dave Levinson is an arrogant SOB who doesn't want to work hard for something he professes to love (i.e. being judge)And if he is in bed with the Ralphster, then just how apolitical is our town court?

And Mike Amo may have been a nice guy at one time but he is definitely not one now. Once you sell your soul to the devil, the "niceness" usually goes away.

And Bob, be careful what you say, Ralph may get mad at you! Ouch!
Vorplich! (that is the sucking sound heard when a head is removed from a butt)

The Blaster will blast ALL of you phony, lyin' creeps!!

To be continued....

Well, well, well. I see the piggy's have come out of their barn to play! You know the saying " A picture speaks a thousand words". I want to know from Uncle Betty if he thinks Woodbury will ever be rid of Ralph Caruso and Company?
Also the concept of James Galvin doing a write in campaign is brillant. Why should anybody be handed an election? Just because Dave Levinson along with the two party bosses Ralph Caruso( who thinks the people of this town are stupid) and Bob Donnelly ( who is just plain old stupid) conspired to fix this judge race doesn't mean a good old write-in campaign wouldn't shake things up! I work in Town and hear more than my share and I predict that Ralphy Boy will not win his election not even in Woodbury. He created a line on the Ballot with Hank Sullivan that seems to represent only one issue. The issue is Development and Ralph seems to feel that all Developers have to stay within the current zoning. Well if we lived in Lolly land maybe. The fact of the matter is if the Town decides to send developers packing, the highest bidder ( and we all know who that is) will purchase these properties. Ralph,Hank and lets not forget John Burke feel the Town could give them "one heck of a dog fight". My question to Burke is WHO IS GOING TO FOOT THE BILL???? The Times Herald Record reported that the Town spent $430,000 dollars on a combination of Defending the Village creation which all three carried petitions for, an annexation fight of only 86 acres (imagine if it was hundreds or thousands of acres)and a new comprehensive plan which will help in the towns land use battles. They have the nerve to bring up higher school taxes.Look how many homes Monroe and Chester combined have before their planning boards.Somewhere in the tune of 2,000. Woodbury would only be a drop in the bucket. The real expense would be the Millions spent on Annexation battles if these idiots get into office!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bravo Aunt Earnest!

I am soooo sick of hearing these idiots use the term "high density"!! What's high density? Timber Ridge? Oh so does Ralph and his crew want to get rid of the condos? It seems that these projects will be alot less density than some of the other developments in town and these projects will be alot less density that the 3-4 story buildings we see going up in our neighboring village (and I don't mean Harriman)
And when will they start using the correct numbers? They should stop lying!!!!
Thanks for listening Uncle Betty,

Cousin Louie

I agree with you, Uncle. Somewhere you wrote that all these anonymouses are too confusing. Am I the only one willing to use my own name (and am I foolish to do so?)?.

In any case, in response to the "anonymous" whose post begins "It seems the photos that Uncle Betty is displaying on this blog took place after Thursday night's Town Board meeting." When Darlene walked out I wasn't saying that she lied, I was saying that she had done something even worse (in my eyes).

Darlene used to come to Town Board Meetings and say that her home was threatened by annexation and that she was the one who had convinced her husband to move here and now they could lose everything. Then she would begin to cry.

It was a very heart-wrenching thing to see. Even the third and fourth and fifth times.

Luckily, I found myself in a position to do something about it when I was approached by Pinkus Jakobowitz, one of the leaders of the Kiryas Joel Alliance (often called the dissidents),

They were the ones who had filed the annexation petition for lands going almost to Darlene's door.

I began a long series of talks with Jakobowitz and we were joined by Town Councilwoman Lorraine McNeil and Gerri Gianzero and by Town Supervisor Sheila Conroy. Usually only one of the woman was there at a time, on a few occasions there were two. All three were never present at the same time. This was because that would have made a quorum of the board and the meeting would have to be announced publicly. Since these talks were very sensitive they had to be kept secret until they were completed.

As a result of these talks, the KJA decided that they would unilaterally take back their annexation petition. They realized that having good relations with their neighbors was possible and that that was worth much more than 86 acres of land. They neither asked for nor were given anything in exchange for dropping their petition - only the hope for an open, positive relationship.

When we announced this, I expected that Darlene, for one, would be happy and relieved. Apparently she wasn't. Instead, she saw a chance to attack the people whom she would soon be running against. She wrote to the NYS Department of State and accused the three women of having held illegal, secret board meetings (as I said, they hadn't). The State Dept. lawyers wrote to Sheila. She explained and they dropped the matter.

What stayed with me was how low Darlene's actions had been. She had begged for help, she had gotten it and she then tried to screw the people who had helped her. That stinks!

I heard the best part of that meeting was Maria going to tears, what is her deal I do this and I do that. Who really cares if she lived here for ever and we all know she is the born and raised on the site. I dont attend meetings anymore because the whole board is without leadership run by SOCA and George S. The real question should be about GEORGE S now he is the Co-real ring leader and I am sure he is behind this site. You all act like children this town needs leaders like Ted J and John K , yes I will write in for John because he cares but I am not sure anyone on the board or who goes to Town meetings and speaks does.

POP GOES A WEASEL

He crawls out from under a rock,
every five to ten years,
He gathers his cronies and makes his plans,
to prey upon your fears.
Pop goes a weasel!

He speaks at the mike as a citizen,
but always mentions Larkin
He reads OK but cannot spell,
like a dog, he’ a barkin’
Pop goes a weasel!

He looks at you with a steady stare,
that sends shivers to your spine,
he’s perfected that look but he’s full of s@#t,
When he loses, watch him whine!!
Pop goes the weasel!

Roxanne will beat him real good,
because as a person she is real,
not like the weasel who sneaks in the dark,
She doesn’t lie, sneak or steal!
Pop goes the Weasel!!!!!

Can anyone answer me about who will pay for the cost of a battle over land that KJ wants to annex? What if it's hundreds and hundreds of acres? Aren't taxes high enough? If MW school district has to build another school, they can bond it over many years, but if the Town of Woodbury has to pay a multi-million dollar court battle we would have to pay as we go!People wake up! I feel sorry for the seniors because they should be focusing on legal costs, not additional children in our school system. Again according to John Burke & Co We "will give them one heck of a dog fight". What a scary and expensive proposition not to mention odds are KJ will win. The more land they obtain the weaker the Towns position becomes. Talk to any attorney. I have spoken to several.

OK

We have established that John and the other dems are working with Ralph.
Their actions seem contrary to their supposed purpose of saving the town from annexation and "Village style development"
Who does Ralph work for?
Does his employer ever take a stand publically on this issue or is he catering to the block vote?
Who are these people helping?
Not you and me, average citezen of Woodbury.
Think about it!!!! Think, listen and observe. It is OBVIOUS!!!!!

I understand that Ralph, John, Carol and Hank are taking thier show to the Circque d' Soliel. They have been inspired by the ever swaying prancing antics of Hank at the podium.
Carol will be the clown, off course; John will be the offical ringleader er.. ringmaster and Raplh will be the real behind-the- scenes ringleader er ringmaster and Hank will be the opening act: he will read from a prepared script and for comedy's sake, say that he "wasn't prepared to speak tonight" and then swivel his hips to the tune of "Mellow Yellow".

Meanwhile, others in the town will be gathering en mass at the Rez, listening to "We Don't Get Fooled Again" at full volume and converge on the town hall where Ralph, Hank Carol and John will be rehearsing their act outside on the front steps (with Hank maybe doing a little Sammy Davis Jr. number. This group of residents will then get the rail and run them all out of town!!!

Great theater eh?
Oh crap this is real!!

It is a shame we cant come up with a picture of the two faced crew that is trying belittle the town employees (but they will pay $47,000.00+ for a lawer to fight the town employees from getting a raise) by not giving them a far contract.

Anonymous said...

The board does not like to pay it workers a fair wage, but if you are a lawyer or some firm they will pay you hundreds of thousdands while we bust our butts every day. For the rest of you in the working world we have not gotten a raise in years have you? Hey UB or Aunt who ever what would you do if you have not gotten a raise for years. I am sure you live in this town where we plow your roads, fix your streams when they flood all we want is a fair deal!!!!!!! This is all a game for you but when your roads go un plowed dont say we told you so!

Anonymous said...

Hey Highway Workers- Better ask Mr. Burke where he plans on getting the money to fight the KJ annexation. Heard he said he'll put some projects on hold if he has to, like ROAD IMPROVEMENTS, etc. Wonder what else he and Caruso have in store for you guys!!! Have you bothered asking them?
