There was a nice little post from the Pieman a day or so ago that the Uncle overlooked at first. I think it's worth repeating.

Apparently there is a bout of finger-pointing going on. I have heard, and am attempting to verify, that John Burke is blaming the flyer on Carlton Levine and Bob Donnelly.
After taking responsibility for it, eh?

Well done people. I couldn't agree more with the words of this post, or all the people in Woodbury who are standing up to live them.
I voted for John Burke because I thought he was not like the rest of them only to find out he is the worst one of all.

At least Burke fessed up to his mistake. Unless I missed something, humans aren't perfect. Look at SWiller, or even Conroy. They are perfect examples. This is an unfortunate example of what politics have come to. We have seen at the national level where accusations worse than this are blasted over the airwaves by "righteous" people and organizations. It is now at the grass roots level as well.
Unless you poll everyone who voted, no one will ever know just how much of difference this incident made. The way I see the numbers, Lorraine was gone no matter what happened and she did that all by herself.
His "mistake?" Since when does blanketing a neighborhood with lies about your opponents one day before an election constitute a mistake?
And you seem to be unhappy that truthful accusations have been leveled at John Burke, but are not the least troubled that false accusations were spread about his running mates' opponents.
Ah the old adage that Burke lives by " Do as I say, not as I do".

"Mistake"- an error in action, calculation, opinion, or judgment caused by poor reasoning, carelessness, insufficient knowledge, etc.
If this is what is governing out Town, then we've all made a MISTAKE in electing Burke!
