Burke Approves Plan For Kiryas Joel Pipeline Through Woodbury

Well, that isn't actually true. But since when does that matter?

Watch out for Burke to say that the town will agree to the pipeline because we will supposedly be able to tap into it.

John Burke couldn't respond to an EIS if his life depended on it.

Also, I heard a rumor that John is going to move and not finish his term. That is why he doesn't care about the many people demanding his resignation.

Come on Uncle, I expect more of you! Two (or perhaps, three, four or five) wrongs don't make a right. Don't stoop to telling lies like our new Town officials and our AWSOME (oops, I guess lying is contagious)Supervisor!

are you kidding. you ever hear of a joke. ub says (in itsy bitsy print - but it's still right there) that he's makinga joke. the point is that he's pointing out how awful Burke's bad actions are.

So, John lies to get his running mates elected, and it's everyone elses fault.

Thought you'd be able to tell by my use of the word AWSOME!!!

Burkes nuts roasting on an open fire
Carusos hiding, cause he knows
You’ve been preaching your lies to the choir
And folks like you just have to go
Everybody knows, your fliers and the lies you chose
Helped to swing the vote that night
Tiny minds, like Burkes that are closed
Will find it hard to sleep at night

They know the truth is on the way
We’re asking why you told the lies you told that day
And every Democrat is gonna try
To see if all of their bullshit will fly

And so I’m asking you this very day
Why you lie the way you do
Although its been said, many times many ways
Burke and Caruso, F%#K YOU

Anonymous said...

this is a repeat only the names have been changed, get original, better yet, just get lost.

Anonymous said...

Its repeat of what? I'm sorry Ralph or John, Did I hurt your feelings? Who else could possibly be offended by my little Christmas song? Gotcha!

Anonymous said...

Maybe your getting confused with..

Twas the night before Elections, when all through the Town
Not a Politician was stirring, there were none to be found
No Burke, no Haviland, nor Carlton was there
No Ralph, or his wife, hey whats up with her hair?

But that crew were not nestled, all snug in their bed
There misinformation, soon would be read
And folks in Timber Ridge, just waking from their nap
Will soon be bombarded with more Big John crap.

When out in the street there arose such a clatter
People sprang from their beds to see what was the matter
Little yellow fliers were snatched up in a flash
With lies that were useful for only the trash

McNeill is the reason for your problems you know
She approved the assessment, with Aronowitz in tow

When what to my wondering ears should I hear
But Burke denying he knew of the jeers
With nothing to say, cause hes a lying little p*#@k
He struggled for words, guess he isn’t that slick

More rapid than eagles, Swiller called out the name
Of Bo in the audience, and asked him the same
Who wrote the flier, who put the fix in?
Don’t lie now, remember poor Nixon?

From the top of the roof, to the end of Town Hall
Your lies and deceit will be known by all

As the board room became quiet John Burke sat by
Then Swiller stood again, and Burke didn’t know why
Sit back in your chair, your talking is through
All I did was stand up, I apologize to you!

And then theres Caruso, always so aloof
Why isn’t he screaming out, WHERE IS YOUR PROOF!
McNeill didn’t approve any assessment in Town
And Aronowitz, poor guy wasn’t even around

You know he won’t do that, cause he’s one of the schnook’s
Who approved of the flier, boy he’s as dumb as he looks
The people in Town should all turn their backs
On Burke and Caruso and their whole list of crap

McNeill, and Aronowitz didn’t think it so merry
But remember they did it to Sheila and Gerri?
The night before elections they get up and go
With lies stuffed in garbage cans, where they belong you know

The Towns in a quandary, its bearing its teeth
And the lies of John Burke, encircles us all like a wreath
We need to do something, not just sit in Jays Deli
We need to expose their soft under belly

Burke may be thinking that he is top Elf
But don’t you be fooled, its Caruso himself
And Bo and Carlton your hanging by threads
Cause you’ll take the fall for the lies that they’ve spread

If you think that being on the Board is hard work
Just wait till we tear you a new one, like Burke

Republican, Democrat, whatever you prose
You just can’t sit by and keep your mouth closed
It’s the people in Town that will ultimately fall
For the lies of these men that we were told to us all

But I’ll ask one more thing, to John Burke on this site
How can you possibly sleep well at night?

Anonymous said...

and no matter what you write, it will all blow over and soon be out of sight.

Anonymous said...

Burke sleeps like a baby, he's usually in by nine thirty!

Anonymous said...

Once again dear friends, keep telling yourselves thiat "it's all over", for very soon, it WILL be all over for the three of you!

Anonymous said...

Heres another Christmas favorite...

You knew Hankie the Dancer
And bubbles the Vixon
Carlton who’s stupid
And Bo put the Fix in
But do you recall
The most dumbest people of all?

Seibold the brown nosed yes man
Does every single thing hes told
Carol the Rump Roast Dim Wit
Can’t reach down and touch her toes

Ralph is the one they all fear
Afraid to even speak his name
He even made poor John Burke
Look the fool and take the blame

Then one foggy Election Eve
Ralphie came to say
Democrats who don’t know whats right
Hand out all these fliers tonight

Then all the losers loved him
But it won’t last you see
The end of Burkes reign is quite near
Resign your seat now you three!

More...more...more! I'm in the Christmas spirit, even though i'm Jewish.

Aaaaaaahahahaha! Aaaaaaahahahahahahahahah!

jewish? Jewish? I cannot believe that.. please don't put our people in your fight, we have enough to worry about. Leave us out of this. Thank You ..

Anonymous said...

Excuse me? Who the hell are you, and who gave you permission to speak for everyone?

I'm sorry, I thought we were all "PEOPLE". Do you consider yourself a different species because your Jewish? I'm Jewish and just as human as anyone else.

From the THR today, Sunday 12/2/07
Orange South Confidential:

Feeling the heat
Woodbury's Democratic Committee head, Manny Mangual, thrust full blame for a dirty campaign tactic aimed at getting Democrats elected to the Town Board on Supervisor John Burke.

Burke, who vacillated between denying involvement and dumping blame on others for a campaign to smear Republican incumbents Michael Aronowitz and Lorraine McNeil, sat by quietly as the head of his own town Democratic Party pointed him out during a Monday committee meeting as the person who wrote, printed and distributed the fliers to 450 homes in Timber Ridge.

Town-house development residents saw their assessments jump as much as 60 percent under former Assessor Roland Tiffany, who retired recently.

The fliers accused Aronowitz and McNeill of supporting the assessment increases, even though neither of them had any part in the decision.

Burke told the Times Herald-Record shortly after the election that he advised Democratic candidate Carlton Levine and committee members to print the fliers shortly before the elections. The supervisor stood by the message, since McNeill was on the board that appointed Tiffany, he said. (Following this reasoning, he apologized to Aronowitz, who was not on the board at the time.)

Mangual's accusation about Burke raised questions about the Democratic committee's allegiance to Burke, as he tries to downplay the impact of the scandal. Even if true, Burke's role in the dirty campaign will not likely result in his ouster.

Tick, tock Mr. Burke...

I knew it would finally come out, it's true, at least for the people who write on this blog spot, You are anti-semitic, that's what it comes down too, bastards! you will reap what you sow!

Hey Swiller, make sure you write a big blog of bullshit in, so you can attempt to re-direct all the woodchucks away from the fact that you and your Swillerites are hate mongors! You are a dick!

Stop trying to interject your ridiculous religious nonsense. This blog is about POLITICS, in all it's ugly glory. Religious has absolutely nothing to do with it, so stop trying to twist it to deflect the heat away from Caruso, Burke and the gang. It won't work. As the other poster said, tick, tock, it's just a matter of time.

Anonymous said...

If I recall correctly, WOODCHUCK is a favorite word of a one Mr. Haviland. How you doin' Bo Bo? Stop pleading your case, its a little pathitic at this stage and time. You never have much to say when questioned right to your face. You look lke a deer in headlights when your at the Board meetings, but on this blog, with anonimity, you have an awful lot to say.

"Thank you for condeming an entire religion, anti semitic jerks!"

Apparently several Jewish people arguing with each other now counts as antisemitism. Who knew? Better warn the Anti-Defamation League.

Or maybe the poster of the last few comments just can't read.

Either way, I second the vote to get back to something useful.

I spoke with Mike he does not recall when John apologized?

Anonymous said...

Good job, keep changing the subject!

Anonymous said...

John's apparent benevolence in admitting he made a mistake with reference to Mr. Aronowitz does little to excuse the flier itself. Mr. Burke has decided that he will do and say as he pleases, totally disregarding laws, rules, ethics or simple human decency. Although many have asked him to step down, his sheer arrogant nature and his quasi gang would never allow it. Wonder what he'll do if & when the county/state get involved??

Burke looks back on honor of school named after him

By IRENE PLAGIANOS
SPECIAL TO THE JOURNAL NEWS
(Original Publication: April 2, 2007)

John P. Burke, former Nanuet Senior High School principal, was always the first to arrive at work in the morning and the last to go home, said Jim Enright, the school’s assistant principal.

“He was an extremely hard worker, dedicated to the job and the community,” said Enright. “He’s a wonderful guy.”

When Burke, who spent 33 years in the district, retired in 2000, he received an honor that he said still “humbles and overwhelms” him.

More than six years ago, the district’s school board decided to name the high school building, which is home to about 600 students, the John P. Burke Building of Nanuet Senior High School.

Nanuet has a long tradition of naming schools in memory of well-respected educators and administrators in the district. Its lower elementary school is named for former principal George W. Miller, and its middle school is named for former superintendent A. MacArthur Barr

Burke said he was “absolutely shocked” when he was told at his retirement dinner that the school would bear his name.

“I still think that was the best-kept secret,” he said. “It was completely unexpected, but deeply appreciated.”

A native of the Bronx, Burke earned his undergraduate degree at Manhattan College and later a master’s at Iona.

He came to Nanuet in 1967 as business education teacher, but, within a few years, he was appointed principal.

“I think it was the greatest place in the world to be a principal,” Burke said. “The students, parents and faculty were really a supportive community.”

Burke had a great sense of connection with the student body during his tenure, Enright said.

“He really cared for the youngsters and always had the students’ best interest in mind when he made decisions.”

Burke, a father of six children and grandfather of 11, recently decided to devote his retirement to more than leisure activities. In 2006, the 66-year-old was elected supervisor of the town of Woodbury, where he has lived with his family since 1969.

Burke said serving in an elected position was similar to his job as a principal. “It’s challenging, interesting work that is really all about dealing with different people, which I love” he said. “I have truly been very fortunate in my career.”

What does this news clipping have to do with Burkes position as Town Supervisor? NOTHING! I don't care if a Country was named after him. Hes an unrespected, irresponsible, completely unreliable man now.

Anonymous said...

Good job again, put a long winded article in the blog to devert the fact that your a hate mongor, and as for you Conroy, up yours and your Woodbury politics only statement, okay woodchucks!

Anonymous said...

Wow, now this is getting good1

Useful, this web site is useful?

Anonymous said...

I don't give a crap who you pray to! Or don't pray to! I care about who you lie to! And it was the people who pay Burkes, and now the 2 goof balls salary that that lied to us. I take great offense to that. They forget who the boss is, and its the residents. And you know what happens when people don't do a good job...they get FIRED. You three are no exception. Its just going to take a little longer, but you WILL lose you jobs.

Anonymous said...

Hey I don't know about you, but I'm afraid!

Anonymous said...

You should be- Big John and his merry band of tight-wearing morons are about to be the majority of the Town Board!!

Kieran Conroy said...

Feel free to keep cursing us out and then avoid backing up your own point. We're used to it around here.

I ask again: what did Jonathan (or anyone) just say that was anti-semitic?

I see strong reactions between one person claiming to speak for all Jews and tell someone they're not Jewish, and several others taking offense.

Since you can't take the time to even back up any of your "hate monger" statements, I have to assume you're trying to stir up trouble by repeatedly bringing anti-semitism into this. On the internet, that's what we call being a troll. I'm happy to call you on it and ask we move on.

Unless you can say something reasonable that doesn't tell people to shove things places, I'm going to ignore you for the rest of this thread.

Kieran Conroy said...

Well, thanks for posting the article. Great to see John was to his old job. I for one would simply like to know why he needs dirty politics instead of that same hard work to keep him in this one. Or what he's done since taking office.

Someone already raised the point (was it at a meeting?) of what a principal would do if he caught a student cheating on an exam.

Actions speak for themselves, and I hope the people of Woodbury do remember. Whether or not they can be "fired," in the immediate future, there's plenty we can do as citizens can do- most importantly not letting this, or any unethical behavior "blow over."

Kieran Conroy said...

er, there should have been a "devoted to his old job" in their somewhere in the first paragraph.

Anonymous said...

It will blow over!

Anonymous said...

In your dreams...

Anonymous said...

No way! Dreams are my brief escape from the insanity of our town's politics. They'll just have to find someplace else to stash their scandal. I do more important things to do there there, like fly and commune with aardvarks.

Anonymous said...

And.... it will all blow over,

Anonymous said...

Tell us Mr "All-Blow Over," do you feel that it would be a good thing if that happened? Is it desirable to have candidates lie and get away with it?

By the way, the answer "it happens all the time" just won't do. I'm not asking about frequency. I'm asking if you feel it's fine and dandy to lie to get elected?

Kieran Conroy said...

Somehow I doubt you'll get an answer, my friend... its their mantra, if they they keep saying it maybe we'll all vanish.

Unfortunately it takes yellow sheets of paper nearly 3 months to decompose outside... add three months for each newspaper article, and you have half a term. Human memory lasts longer, esspecially when its been wronged.

One thing's for sure, its going to be an interesting year...

Anonymous said...

Let me tell you how it works in the real world Swiller, why don't you ask Al Gore about official elections and how difficult it can be to remove someone from office, or not allow that person to get into office to begin with, and that was a presidential election, do you really think that Clinton or Schumer will come to our aid in this time of need? Give me a break, You will continue to rant and rave (don't get me wrong) I think your right! but in the end we WILL be stuck with these bozos and 1 Bobo until the next election!

Anonymous said...

Quite likely you are right. But let's not give them a free ride. We have to let them know that we are paying attention. That's why it is important for people to come to the Town Board Meetings.

Also, this past election was just a foretaste of what they will attempt in March when they try to discredit the Village Board so that they can try to take that over too.

If we get enough people to see the dirty tricks that are used we have a hope of preventing it next time.

Finally, it appeares that you can look in the mirror and that you do the ability to listen.
